This has been our first real week of summer at home and it's been BUSY! It's not a super relaxed summer for sure! But the kids are enjoying sleeping late and going to bed late and no schedules.
Harper got to spend time with Sarah Kate to celebrate her 13th birthday! I can't believe she is a teenager!
Two of my favorite women have grandsons just a little younger than Will Holden so I spent a morning with them playing in the creek. The boys had the best time and we enjoyed visiting. I don't know about where you live but it's SOOOO hot and humid here. I know it's summer but it just feels hotter than normal.
I took Hollis and Will Holden to the best toy store to spend saved up birthday money. Actually Hollis had credit she had been saving for over TWO YEARS. That's my hoarder!
Later next month Harper is going on a mission trip with 6th graders. I'm SO excited for her to have this opportunity. I just cried when I found out she would get to do this. It's going to be so amazing. She had a training meeting this week. She's working on writing out her testimony so she will be ready to share it. What a life changing opportunity for my girl and something I have prayed for since she was born - that she would be mission minded and have a passion for Jesus.
Our school has a book bus that they drive around to all the school neighborhoods one day a week and kids can borrow books. It's the cutest thing ever. Different teachers ride each week so we get to see teachers and friends and get encouraged to read.
I loved it so much!
Meanwhile Harper got to go to White Water with her two best friends. They had the best time. Harper is living her best life right now. It's been something non stop for her but I'm so happy for her and I just love this age.
