This is a big dump of what's been happening the last 2 weeks.
My parents kept Milli while we were in CO. She dislocated her knee one of the first days we were gone. She didn't do anything to hurt it - it's just a poodle's knee I guess. My sweet parents didn't tell us until we were on our way home. They took her to their vet and she got a soft cast on. I took her to the vet on Monday to get the cast off and sadly she needs knee surgery. So we have to do that soon. I'm so sad. She doesn't seem to be in any pain thankfully. She has her first birthday on election day! So how appropriate was her cast? ha!
Scott and I decided back in early September that we wanted to get trees in our backyard to build a privacy hedge. It will just be nice to look at them and instead of other houses. We went to a garden that didn't have all the ones we needed at the time. They finally got a shipment in while we were on vacation so we went and picked all the ones we wanted. They are being delivered today and Scott is going to plant them. I'm excited! They are Emerald Green Aborvitae trees.
Last week I had a super busy week. I subbed 3 days and I worked for my non profit the other days and we had busy days. We had a big Board meeting and we had book signing at Beautiful Lives. I was worn out by the weekend.
Last Friday night we went to the high school football game. Emily was on homecoming court so it was fun to go and watch her. It was FREEZING!!!!! Our whole family was going to go but the weather was so awful and the kids were tired so Scott kept Hollis and Will Holden home and I took Harper.
Emily was BEAUTIFUL!!!! She's such a pretty girl!
Harper and Sarah Kate had a great time together. We have two high schools in our town and we are zoned for the other high school but I had an old BHS sweat shirt that Harper wore to show support!
We love Emily!
I love Friday night lights! It was fun to be there. It made me want to start going to high school games maybe after this year!
Abi is an Instagram friend that I "met" through other friends. We have messaged back and forth for a couple of years. She lives in MO but her nephew is a star on the Bentonville team. She was at the game and we got to meet in person which was so fun!
Saturday morning Will Holden had his last football game. It was FREEZING! (Somehow NWA skipped fall and went straight to winter). He had a good season for a young 5 year old. He didn't LOVE football but I think he will love it more as he gets older. Or find something else that he loves.
Scott and I went and voted this week. We went right when a polling place opened and it only took maybe 10 minutes. It's an honor and a privilege to vote!
And apparently Arkansas is very bougie. We got our own personal stylus to vote with!
My friends the Marrs have their own show on HGTV. "Fixer to Fabulous" started it's second season this week. They fix up houses here in Bentonville! You have to watch and you can see my cute town plus Dave and Jenny are so cute!
Last year we went to the premiere party at our local theatre. This year they had a Drive Inn movie set up to watch the premier at our high school. It was fun. We stayed in our cars and watched and they handed out popcorn to everyone. I went with Laurie and Paige and we had a great time.
I can't believe that this weekend is Halloween and November! I hope you have a great weekend!
