We started our weekend with a birthday party at the new CLIMB facility in Bentonville for a birthday party. We haven't been yet but it's a really fun place. Hollis was nervous at first.
But she got the hang of it and loved it. I need to take the kids this summer. I'm not sure if Will Holden is big enough but he would love it.
Harper has decided she wants to play the guitar. She has this little toy guitar and she has been trying to teach herself with an app. We are going to get her in lessons soon. Maybe she will be the next big worship leader one day! (She has my old phone that she plays games on - but she feels very grown up and important even if it's not a real phone).
We spent one more Saturday working in the yard. We have had a lot of things that have been needing to be done for a while so we finally tackled it all. But I promised Scott we were NOT doing yard work this coming weekend. While we worked, the kids love to hang out in the shade under our big tree. They also love to help us.
Hollis living her best life.
We dug out all the old mulch, put down weed blocking mat and then re-mulched. I was covered from head to toe in black mulch. It's such a good kind of tired when you have worked hard and sweated all day.
The bottom is the after. We trimmed everything up. It looks so much less like a weed jungle.
We got all cleaned up and went out to eat and to see Pets 2 Saturday night. It was the perfect summer day.
Yesterday we had church and then a camp meeting and then Scott and I finished up the yard work. We have a fun week ahead. I'm loving summer so far!
