We had a very low key Memorial Day weekend which was nice.
Saturday morning we woke up and decided to visit the cave Hollis and I had gone to recently. I may have been drawn there because it was already in the 90's in May and the cave was a cool 56 degrees. But I also really love caves! and I knew the kids would love it.
It wasn't crowded and we had the BEST time!
WELL - it was a little stressful trying to make sure Will Holden didn't knock down a stalagmite or crawl down a tunnel but overall it was a lot of fun.
The cave is about 20 minutes away from us in a small town.
So we headed to lunch and then went to a park where it felt like we were playing on the surface of the sun so we went home and Harper went to swim with a friend and the rest of us rested and I cooked dinner at home and we hung out.
Sunday morning we had baptism duty, nursery duty and we were teaching Sunday School. So it was a busy morning. Hollis wanted to help us with the 3 year olds. My girls love helping in the nursery.
Will Holden and one of his buddies.
I spent most of Sunday cleaning and cooking. The Ormons came over Sunday night for hamburgers and hung out until late. We had a great time and I took zero pictures. But Laurie and I did do some insta stories that you need to watch. They are on my highlight reel under "Laurie". We will have to do some more in a few weeks when we go to the beach.
Monday we had a day at home catching up on house projects. Scott went to see "Solo" with Steve and I took the kids to the splash park.
We had a good time playing and then were home for dinner, baths and to go to bed early.
Because yesterday was our last day of school. It was a snow make up day so a little tough to go back for one day after a three day weekend. I told my girls they didn't have to go but they really wanted to. They have both had such great years.
Hollis has grown so much. She lost her baby cheeks and grew into a girl!
And now I have a 2nd grader and a 4th grader! I can't believe it!
We finished up swim lessons after school and the guy was out before we could get home.
Today officially starts summer and we can't wait!
