Scott and I got a very rare date night last week and we went to eat at Tavola (which I highly recommend) and then went to see the Chihuly exhibit at Crystal Bridges Museum. This was my idea because I love Chihuly and I wanted us to get outside our box! :-) It was a lot of fun.
I had some kind of shrimp and squash risotto. It was delicious.
Chihuly does all this blown glass. I have seen his work in several places. I think it's so interesting.
There was an exhibit inside that we did first.
All I could think of is if how stressed out I would have been to take Will Holden. He would have been trying to climb up on the tables and knock that glass over. ha!
My favorite part was they had Chihuly in the Forest. It was an exhibit of his work outside through a walking trail.
I loved just walking along and seeing the art.
This was my favorite piece
We were there around 8 but I wish it would have been darker. They all glow so it would be neat to see them in the dark. We may have to go back before the exhibit leaves. It was also 6000 degrees with humidity of 130% so we were sweating like hogs the whole time. ha! Cooler and darker would have been preferable but we still had a great time!
We felt like the cool hipsters that we aren't.
I'm going to do a post soon giving ideas of things to do in Bentonville. I probably get 5 messages a week of people visiting here and wanting to know what to do . I am always tickled that someone would visit my town and I love giving out ideas. So it would be great to have a post to refer them to so I don't forget anything! It really is a great place to live!
