I am a big fan of Lysa's books. I've also heard her speak several times and just love her heart and her message. I was able to spend some time with her a few years ago and she is a genuine and kind woman who loves Jesus.
She has a new book, Uninvited, that I think will resonate with pretty much all of you. The subtitle says it all - "Living Loved when you feel Less than, Left out and Lonely".
Or maybe you have never felt Insecure. Or Left Out. Or Lonely.
I know I have and do regularly.
In "Uninvited", Lysa shares her own deeply personal experiences of rejection - from the perceived judgment of the perfectly toned woman one elliptical over to the incredibly painful childhood abandonment by her father. She leans in to honestly examine the roots of rejection, as well as rejection's ability to poison relationships from the inside out, including our relationship with God.
With chapters like "Her success Does Not Threaten Mine" (DING) and "Ten Things You must Remember When Rejected" (Boom) and "Hello, My name is Trust Issues" (Anyone?) - this book will probably touch a nerve with each of you.
"The More fully we invite God in, the less we will feel uninvited by others" - Lysa Terkeurst
Because I know this book will really change how you feel about yourself and God, I am excited to give away two copies of this book. Leave a comment and I will pick two winners on Friday afternoon. And if you don't win - you can get a copy on Amazon.com or pretty much any bookstore near you!
