Our week has been crazy busy. I feel like I'm just running around like a goose. But it's been a good week. Tuesday the girls got WAY overdue haircuts. Nothing major - just good trims and shape ups. Hollis finally has her bangs grown out. I thought she looked so sweet here.
Tuesday night we went to Harper's first parent/teacher conference. I cried a bunch in the conference. But only for good reasons. Harper is doing so good. She had high scores on everything and is right where she should be. Knowing how she has struggled with her hearing, this is a HUGE answer to prayer. I know it's going to get more challenging in the future but for now we are taking it one day at a time. That's all you can do - it's useless to worry about the future.
I am back working and it's just part time but it feels almost like full time when I pack everything else in. The job is a good opportunity and I enjoy who I'm working with. I work in the office four days a week. Wednesday I worked until I picked the girls up from school.
Then we raced to Fayetteville where Harper had speech. Her therapist always has the most creative crafts and games to do while she works on things with Harper. And she always has an extra set for Hollis which I appreciate so much. It's not easy dragging a little sister to so much therapy but we make it work.
We grabbed dinner in the car and ran to AWANA at church. Hollis got to hold the AWANA flag in my room. I do the music and games with the preschoolers. It's fun but I'm so tired when I get home. But I love that my girls are learning Bible verses and they love it. But it makes for a long day. We get home at 8 and then rush to get everyone in bed.
Today Harper had her very first field trip. The best part was she FINALLY got to ride a school bus. She has been waiting forever! I swear they could just put the kids on a bus and do a joy ride around town and come back home and the kids would be thrilled to death. They spent all day at the pumpkin patch. Hollis and I went for a little while. It was fun to see Harper with her class.
My little pumpkin. She can't wait until the day she gets to go to kindergarten.
Tomorrow night we have a fall festival at Harper's school (after school and speech in Fayetteville). But Saturday I may not get out of my pajamas. And someone needs to clean my house. ha!
Hope your week has been great!
