Did y'all have a good New Years????
We aren't really NYE people. I have never been a big fan. We were home in our sweats. We put the kids to bed at the regular time and watched a few shows on netflix and some football. I think in a few years - we may start having friends over. But I was fine just going to bed at 10:30.
What we like doing is getting up early on New Years Day and getting out while everyone else is home sleeping.
We just got a new Dunkin Donuts so we stopped there first.
I have to admit - I wasn't a fan?!?! Do you like it? We ran into our friend Steve later and we had a 10 minute conversation in a parking lot on why we think other donut places are better while Scott just shook his head. He is a lover of all donuts.
I even had a red velvet donut but it was just all right for me. meh.
Hollis did get a donut that matched her outfit.
Because of course.
We hit a few stores like Cabela's and Target and mostly just looked around.
Then we ended with a lunch out.
And then came home to clean up our Christmas decorations and our diets. ha!
I spent the rest of the day putting up Christmas. That is always a JOB but it feels so clean once it's gone. And now I'm ready to purge our whole house. Scott cleaned out our garage while I did that. And now that we have had our fill of donuts and Mexican food we are ready to start 2014 with trips to the gym and cleaner eating.
I'm excited about what is ahead.
