We came home and had cake and ice cream.
{Notice the amount of accesories my girls are wearing. This is constant. Always a watch, a ring and several bracelets. And possibly a crown. Always. }
Saturday we all went bowling. We had so much fun. Hollis SMOKED the rest of the family. Of course she had bumpers and a ramp to her advantage. But still. How cute are those bowling shoes?
Today before church - I wanted to get a sweet sister picture.
A sweet reader, Connie, who lives in LA has a daughter named Hollis who is several years older than mine and she has loaned us a lot of precious things to wear including both of these dresses. And we LOVE them!! Thank you Connie and Hollis!! :-)
This is real life. I ask the girls to hold hands for the picture and Harper is squeezing and pinching.
Oh sister love.
Today was one of those Sundays I didn't really feel like I went to church. We worked in the nursery in Hollis' class and then taught Harper's class in Sunday School. I miss being "in church" but love being with the kids.
And I am singing HALLELUJAH because we have finally crossed over into a new stage!!!! Today we went out to eat for Sunday lunch for probably about the first time in 4.5 years! And it was enjoyable. We have barely ate out at all over the last several years because it was just not worth it to us. But our girls have suddenly started being pretty well behaved in restaurants and we can eat and not be stressed and visit. And it's wonderful. My favorite thing has always been eating out Sunday lunch. I could care less about Sat or Fri nights out but I love eating out for Sunday lunch and I've missed it. But we are back in business!So yes - if you have babies and think you will never eat out again - you will. If you think they will never sleep through the night.........they will. (It might have taken my girls 2-3 years.......but we are there). If you think they will never get potty trained or give up the paci - they will. There are days I wonder if I will ever have a relaxing Saturday again - if I will ever have a day I can just lay on the couch and watch movies. I know that day will come. And I might miss the craziness of these days. :-)
There is always the light at the end of the tunnel.
