I'm going to give a disclaimer for my blog this week. So listen up!
If you know me - you will know I'm not real into doing give aways or promotions on here. I like to help people as much as I can but I don't love when blogs do constant give aways or promotions and it's just never been my thing. I get asked all the time and I just can't do many. I just like to blog about my family and faith and I feel like too much "stuff" can get in the way of that. (Hopefully y'all can understand)
SO ...... I'm giving you a warning.............this week I have a WEEK of give aways. They are all fun things that I'm excited to do. So come back and sign up and then I probably won't be doing any more give aways for several months.
But first a weekend report.................
Saturday morning the girls and I went to a baby shower that my friend Jennifer threw for her sister Jill who is having a little girl soon. We had a great time!
{I got the dress above at Riffraff on Friday. I seem to never make it to Fayetteville anymore but Harper had speech on Friday and I was checking instagram while I waited and saw they were having a 50% off sale on all clothes and I happened to have a gift card I had been saving. I braved taking two preschoolers and it was PACKED with 20something girls but my girls did good and I was glad we went - I got 2 dresses!} {and I did the Pinterest trick of putting a long slip under the dress to add length because it was a HAIR too short for this girl} :-)
So back to the shower. Here are my girls and Jillian. I took my camera but barely took any pictures. I was so happy that Julee and Preslee came and I got to see them. I don't know why I didn't get a picture with them. I was too worried about what the H's were doing to Jillian's room. :-)
The rest of Saturday was just a day of hanging at home. It was rainy and dreary.
My sweet girls before church today.
I teach Harper's Sunday School class and when I got there today my friend Ginger grabbed me to say Harper was crying and saying she was sick. She looked so pale and kept crying so Scott took both girls home so I could teach.
Thankfully - she is doing much better. It was a little stomach issue that is all cleared up. But we had plans to go to a fun birthday party this afternoon and we had to miss it.
Saturday afternoon - our men had a little "guys day". They went to eat hot wings and to see a Star Trek movie and Cabela's. All things I'm not real excited about doing. So tonight - Laurie and I got our turn. We ate Mexican food and went to a movie. It was a lot of fun!

And now something that is even MORE fun.
I've mentioned it a few times but my dear friend Sophie has written a book and it comes out on Tuesday. It is SOOOOOOOOOOOO hilarious. It's just a great collection of southern stories. Sophie has such a fun sense of humor and a gift of writing and it would make a great summer read. If you are from the south - it will be so funny and like home to you. And if you are not from the south and you read my blog because you find southern stuff interesting --------well - this is all you need to read. You can get it here or most bookstores.
And I'm going to give away THREE copies to anyone who comments here. I will draw all winners on Friday. (and Sophie didn't ask me to give away any books - I just love her and the book so much - I wanted to do it all on my own. It NEEDS to be shared!!!! Buy one for your momma!)
I have been just emailing winners but I will post winners to all this week's give aways Friday night. (and email winners).
