I don't know about y'all but I get SO worn out trying to plan meals every week. I love to cook but it's hard to find new things to cook. It's complicated for me right now because Scott is on a strict diet and he can only eat certain things and the girls are SUPER picky.
I feel like I cook the same 4 or 5 things week after week after week.
I try to look up new ideas on Pinterest or other blogs. And then one day I was standing in my kitchen just staring at the pantry trying to think of things to cook when I had an epiphany. I have always had an obsession with cookbooks. I have a TON of them but I never open them anymore. And my absolute favorite Cookbooks (and magazine) are Southern Living. They hardly ever let me down.
So I decided I was going to start opening up my cookbooks and try something new at least 3-4 times a week. And I decided to keep me accountable - I would just start blogging every thing I tried.
Some of it may be new family favorites and some may be misses and I will blog them all. I plan to share any winners I find with y'all. Maybe if you are struggling with meal planning - I can give you ideas.
And I will be sharing the sources so if you have the cookbooks or want it - you will know where to find it. I will mostly be using Southern Living Cookbooks but I may branch out into a few Junior League cookbooks which are my second favorites. Followed by church cookbooks! :-)
Here are a couple of things I have tried recently:
I made these last night for our Super Bowl party. These are the easiest cookies to make and they are SOOOOOOO good. Unfortunately I brought some back home and I can't quit eating them. They are delicious!
