New Years

Did you have a good New Years? Did you eat the black eyed peas and cabbage?
After spending several days at home - we decided we needed to venture out on New Years. Which to me is perfect because the roads are clear in the morning because most people sleep in.  We made a stop at Starbucks because it was FREEZING outside!
We went to Cabela's and Scott did some clothes shopping. ha! We stayed there for an hour and a half.  Harper found a hunting game. Look at her face. I think Scott may have found a hunting buddy. ha!

I'm have never been able to get our master bedroom like I like it. It's just the last room I've done anything with.  I've had these short brown curtains for years and knew I needed longer ones but drapes are expensive and I just never could find the right ones. Hobby Lobby has some curtains that are chevron and burlap and they finally went 50% off this past week so I got the burlap ones to match our bedskirt.  Scott and his dad put those up.  I think they make the room look better. I have some things I want to do next but it will take me time. I'm not much of a DIY'er so this could get interesting. I'll share when I get things done.  (The left is before and my in-laws bags were in the room and the right is the after).

My very favorite thing at the first of January each year is to watch the Passion Conference on line. I would LOVE to go and maybe one day I'll make that a reality.  Passion is a conference for high school and college students and young adults.  It's in the Georgia dome.  There are 60,000 people there for four days worshiping God together!
David Crowder, Chris Tomlin, Christy Nockels.  Can you imagine how awesome that is? And they have amazing speakers. (Louie Giglio, Beth Moore, Francis Chan, John Piper) I always experience revival in my heart just by watching on-line with them.  If you need encouragement or maybe some growth or are just curious about God at all.........

Get on-line and watch.  You won't regret it. You can watch the sessions for 24 hours afterwards.
