What's up

 I took an unplanned blog break for a few days. I honestly just have been in kind of a blog funk. I've been in kind of an overall funk. I think I have finally figured it out and hopefully I'll snap out of it.  This is my favorite time of year. I love summer. I love 4th of July. I love our colors. I tried to take a few pics of the girls sporting patriotic outfits today but it didn't work out too well.  As you can see by happy/sad above. ha!

 I love that little sweet smile. Every night when I put her to bed (and many times during the day) I will say "Oh Harper I love you SO much" and she will say "I love you so much too Mommy" and it just melts my heart. No matter what kind of day we have had with fighting or meltdowns or discipline - when we hug and kiss and she says that - I just want to melt I'm so in love.

 Hollis started saying "cheese" today when I took their pictures. Harper always says it and now she is and I was cracking up.  I'm not ready to cut her curls but I'm thinking she might need her bangs cut. ha! Sweet girl.

I don't see many friends in the summer just because of schedules being off and tonight I was able to get together with 4 of my favorite girls and it was like a HUGE breath of fresh air. We ate at P F Chang's - one of my favorites and just laughed and talked. We stayed until everyone else was gone and I didn't realize we had been there for almost 4 hours. It was just SO good to visit. My sweet friend Rebekah is about to have baby #2 and I'm so excited for her. I hope we didn't scare her off with talks of deliveries and siblings but I guess it's too late to back out! ha!

My friend Sydney (in the brown dress)'s husband is the anchor that I talk to on the news each week on skype. I told her that I thought this week looked like a SNL skit. I was so embarrassed. When I skype in - I can't see anything and I get a lot of feedback noise so I don't realize sometimes what I'm saying or doing. When Tom is talking - I'm nodding my head and making the craziest faces. I can't help but laugh when I watch this. I thought I would let you laugh at my incessant nodding too.
