My little popsicles on Sunday.
My dad sent me this picture of him and my grandmother the other day. Um - Hollis looks EXACTLY like him. He told me we know now where Hollis gets her hair. It's the same curly and color. So funny!
We had an off day today. Harper was so pitiful last night - she kept crying and saying her tummy hurt and just hasn't been herself. I knew she was really sick when this morning she said "I'm going to my room to lay in my bed" and then took a 2 hour nap. She quit naps months ago and when she got up and was hysterical - I called the doctor. Daddy came home to keep Hollis and this is what happens when Daddy's in charge - you need sink mini baths. :-) (Harper is doing okay - she got checked out and we think her stomach is upset from an antibiotic she just finished. She has acted completely normal since a little after I made her an appointment. Isn't that the way it always works?)
Scott took pictures of Harper tonight while I bathed Hollis and I was dying - they capture her personality. She is the funniest person I have ever met. I laugh so hard at her I cry pretty much daily. I told Scott we needed to just start videoing her all the time so we could remember all the crazy stuff she says.
I can not imagine life without this girl. She is my sunshine.
I also wanted to say that I've been meaning to post this for weeks but back when I did the Show Us Your life for moms who had lost children - my friend Kaye offered to donate a plaque that the mom could have personalized to remember her child. So tonight I went back and used random.org to draw a # of the 136 moms who linked up. Melissa Bufe - I picked you - I will be emailing you. Isn't this a neat way to honor the child who is gone?
Also - at the top of my blog - I have a page called "SUYL" - I am going to get that updated so you can go back through all the past show us your lives. I've been asked to do several that we just recently did - so that can be a good reference! Also - I love getting your suggestions - keep them coming - I want to get ideas for the fall (if y'all want to keep this going!)
