Me and my girls today
So I have a serious question for y'all?
Did any of you with two kids 2 years apart.......maybe particularly girls, maybe it doesn't matter.......have problems with EXTREME jealousy?
Harper is SOOOO jealous of Hollis and she's just downright mean to her. When Harper's alone - she's actually pretty good but anytime she is with Hollis she spends every minute taking every toy from her, pushing her down, hitting her, dragging her around by her clothes. Hollis is such a sweet, content baby but she spends every waking moment crying because Harper is being mean to her and I spend every minute breaking it up and getting on to Harper. I feel like all I do is get on to Harper and console Hollis which only makes it worse. I'm at my wit's end. I know to expect sibling rivalry and some jealousy but this seems to be so bad.
I try to encourage Harper to be sweet. I try to spend one on one time with her when Hollis naps or at night. Any suggestions or words of encouragement?
(and I know this is probably NOTHING compared to what is coming in the teenage years. ha! I'm just taking one day at a time!)
