Well - I have another post full of pics from my phone. I just haven't felt like pulling out my real camera today. I put them all in instagram which was kind of fun. I took the girls to the splash park this morning. Harper was so funny - she just wasn't interested - she didn't want to get wet. But every time I asked her if she wanted to go home - she would say "no" and run back to the water. I think she will warm up to the idea. I ran into a couple of girls I know so it was fun to visit a little with other moms.
I had high hopes for a good nap but Harper was too wound up I think. She stayed in her bed for two hours talking and singing. At one point I thought she had an accident in bed (did I tell you she had one a few weeks ago? As in #2?) because she started saying "oh YUCK. OH no oh no oh no". So I got Scott and told him he needed to go check on her. ha! But she was clothed - so I don't know what she was doing. She is so funny how she can just talk for two hours straight to herself. She is such a character.
Laurie's girls and some of my other friends with slightly older girls are very into dressing up and so far Harper hasn't been into it. But I think we might be moving into that stage. She pulled out tutus twice today and wanted to put them on and then she picked out shoes she wanted to wear and a hair band. It tickles me SO much because every morning after I dress her and fix her hair she will say "Daddy pretty?" and then run into his office to show him how pretty she looks. He is so sweet to always tell her how beautiful she is. She loves for her daddy to tell her she is pretty and it just melts my heart. I'm so thankful she has confidence in that.
What can I even say about this picture but how cute is Hollis? I love her SO much! I could just eat her up with a spoon and I never want her to grow.
I was so excited because my friend Caroline and her mom were in town tonight so we met them at Doe's to eat steak! One of Harper's sweet Sunday School teachers came and babysat Harper so we could eat. Harper had such a good time she wanted to go home with her. And Hollis was SOOO good. Our waitress even commented a few times on what a sweet baby she is. Caroline has a sister and her dad is a lot like Scott - just a guy's guy. Caroline's mom was telling Scott how good it would be for him to have two girls and what he had to look forward to.
It's been a good day.
