Today my Alma mater, Ouachita Baptist (pronounced "wash-i-taw") is having a Blog Day!!! And I wanted to participate and if you went to OBU or go to OBU now - you need to join in the fun! And go HERE to see other blogs!!!
I chose OBU because I wanted to go to a small school and I wanted a Christian school. And it turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life! I made amazing friends - a lot of who are still my best friends and I got a wonderful education.
When I think about OBU - I remember the classes and the great professors but mostly my memories are of :
Tiger Tunes(tri chi won in 1993!)
Tiger Traks(which I never won but had a lot of fun trying)
Intramurals
Rush, Bid Day, and Pledge week
and so many fun times with friends
OBU also is such a neat "family". I love meeting other OBU grads because it's just a special bond. One of the things I love about my church is it is filled with OBU grads including our pastor who is also on the board of trustees. I get so excited every time some of our graduating seniors go to OBU. We had 4 go this year and I am so happy knowing they will have the best four years of their lives there too! I've also met SO many OBU friends through blogging in the last couple of years - some a lot younger and some older. It's like an immediate friendship!
And of course I'm hoping my kids will choose to follow in my footsteps and go to OBU also!I hope to read lots of OBU posts today!!!
