Kelly--I have enjoyed reading about your trip--God is truly using you, Scott and the others on your traveling team to be the hands and feet of Jesus to love his children! My husband and I sponsor a child with Compassion in Haiti and love when we get letters from her. I hope your visit with your sponsor child went well--I'm sure she will appreciate the goodies that you broght along for her. Praying for safe travels for you all and that God may use you to show His love and mercy to others in that region.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful journey with us. Your posts led me to the Compassion International website. There I found my sponsor child! A beautiful 3 year old boy in El Salvador. The moment I saw his photo, my heart knew what to do.
Thank you for guiding me to him.
(((HUGS)))
Oh, my sponsor child's name is Josue if anyone would like to include him in their prayers. :) Thank you!
You are such an inspiration to so many. I rarely comment anymore bc I feel you have so many followers and you must get so many comments a day. I did not want to wear you out even more reading mine.
I just thought I would let you know that you are a Godsend to so many.

I have enjoyed reading about what the team of bloggers is doing over there! I was able to tune in and watch most of the webcast last night. I know they are stories you will never forget. I have a question? Last year on the Duggars show~18 Kids and Counting they went to El Salvador as well. One of the stories that I have not forgotten was when they went to one of the orphanages and all those precious children where there and they still seemed so happy. My question is that they said that most of this children will never leave because sometimes it takes 7-8+ years to adopt a child from there. They made it sound like maybe the government drags out the process because they don't care? If you have time or know anything on the subject about the adoption situations from the country would you share? I am doing a post today on this and also I am doing shoe boxes for Samaritans Purse and I have encouraged my readers to do so as well! Such awesome things you all are doing! God Bless!
Hi Kelly, I watched the live stream last night too, it was awesome to see you all! How exciting for you to meet your Daniela, the backpack full of goodies will be such a delight for her! Thank you for all your posts and pictures...my husband and I sponsor 3 kids thru Compassion and I am going to be sure to write to them this weekend!
Kelly,
I have been reading your blog for a few months now, I love that you are sharing your experience with all of us. My husband and I have been praying for direction on what organization we would like to be a part of. We have decided to support a child through Compassion. We signed up today and I can't wait to see what child is picked for us... Praying for you and all those kids..

Kelly,

Kelly.. as I was reading your post lastnight, I felt in someways I know what you are seeing and feeling. I went to Argentina a few years ago, and saw the families sleeping in one bed, in a two room house. It broke my heart I wanted to give so much to those people.. I was so impressed by the love of the people, everywhere we went the people wanted to give me something, one lady had nothing but garlic... we have so much here in the states and they have so little. I am sure that you are touching many many peoples hearts... The world needs more of you. Take care and return home safey to your family.
Awesome, Kelly!!!! I know she will be so excited to meet you! What an awesome bag of goodies!! I can't wait to hear all about it.
You are simply WONDERFUL & such an inspiration! :o)
You and Scott will be such a blessing to this precious little girl. I'm sure she will love her back pack full of goodies as well but most of all the 'hugs'!
Blessings and prayers,
Kaye

I am so thankful for you and am actually teary eyed right now! How amazing to be sposored by you--God is soo good at knowing us and using our strengths it never ceases to amaze me and bring me to my knees.
Hi Kelly,
I have really been enjoying reading about your experience in El Salvador! I had sponsored a girl through Compassion in Peru for a year or so, but she dropped out of the program earlier this year. I never got back to sponsoring a child with Compassion until you started blogging about it! I have just minutes ago started sponsoring a 5-year-old girl named Jennifer in El Salvador! I am very excited for this!
Thanks,
Rebecca
Kelly,
I feel so blessed to have found this blog some time ago and to now be able to follow your trip to El Salvador. I remember watching the Duggars on a mission trip in El Salvador and having my children watch. We all were so amazed at how much we have here in America. God bless you for all you are doing there. I am going to talk it over with my husband and hopefully we'll be able to sponsor our first Compassion child. Thank you so much for sharing your trip with all of us!
And what an exciting day today must be! Can't wait to hear how it goes!
Amanda :)
I just finished checking in on sweet little Harper on your mama's blog. PRECIOUS! I love how you're blogging about your journey!! Praying for you and your hubby!
I'm so jealous! I sooo wish Chris and I were meeting Juan! Hopefully someday ...

I will be praying for an awesome visit. Can't wait to hear about it!
SO AWESOME!! I just saw the video - oh my goodness, and there are just no words. So excited for you - Daniela is beyond precious!
I am enjoying reading what you are doing in El Salvador. It is a blessing! I just looked at your Mom's blog and it looks like you will have an even larger load to take home with Harper. Grandparents are wonderful!!
Give her a big ((hugs)) from us here in blogland. I know she will see Jesus in your eyes...who would'nt!
Hey Kelly! Just wanted to let you know that I just sponsored an 8 year old little boy in Honduras (Yefri). Looking forward to hearing how it went when you met Daniela!
God Bless!
Michelle
Kelly,
I have always thought the things you were able to do through this blog were AMAZING, but this is so much more than that. You have opened my eyes so wide to the extreme NEED there is out there. I cried absolute tears reading through your post last night and felt so moved to do something. I thought about how "sorry for myself" I have felt over the last 8 months being unemployed. Thinking about how much our lives and our lifestyle has had to change due to losing my income. But, then I read the stories of these people and realized, I am BEYOND blessed. I have a warm house to sleep in, food to eat, running water, and so many other "luxuries" that I take for granted every.single.day. I feel SO ashamed of myself. Going from 2 incomes to 1 was hard, but we have learned to adapt. Cut corners and cut expenses, and I know I can cut $38 more a month to help a child. I WILL. Kelly, thanks so much to you and Scott for going on this trip and taking the time to show people like me that there are so many out there that are SO much worse off than we are. May God bless you both on the trip home! I know you can't wait to squeeze that precious Harper!!
"freely ye have received, freely give." Matthew 10:8
Just letting you know I signed up to sponsor a little 5 year old girl from El Salvador! Her name is Hazel and she is the same age as my daughter.
Loved this post! Thanks for sharing your heart.
