but there is just something magical about College Football Season!!!!!
I think you all know that I'm a HUGE Arkansas Razorback Fan!
I also just pretty much love all things SEC!
Now I know there are a bunch of you out there who are Big 12 or Big 10 fans or Pac 10 or whatever.........but I'm not just biased - the SEC is the greatest conference in all sports with the BEST fans!
(You can argue with me all you want - but I'm not bending on this one! ha!)
I get SOOOO excited around this time of year. It's a little different this year because even though we have season tickets and I've gone to every game pretty much since I was a young girl and my dad started taking me (I was even proud that I waddled to every game last year even though it almost killed me) - there is something WAY more important in my life this year!
So I'll be watching most games on TV instead.
But that's okay - that just means I can eat food that doesn't cost $30 and taste like cardboard and I can go to the bathroom without crawling over 100 people and I can yell obnoxiously and not worry about people being annoyed (because girls I yell LOUD at games!)

Give me a sonic vanilla coke and a table full of dips and I'm in heaven. And put my hogs on TV in HD and it's pretty much the best day ever!And don't forget tomorrow is show us your favorite school pictures! I hope we can have fun looking and laughing at the old pictures!!! Or feel free to show us your kid's cutest school pictures! Let's celebrate the start of the school year!

P.S. Please pray for the man who trained me to be such a big Hog fan - my dad - he is headed to India this morning to work with pastors there - teaching and training them. I think this is his 3rd or 4th trip there. It's a LONG trip so we are praying for his safety and for God to use him.

I have a little sign at home that says "One football fan and one normal person live here" - haha! It's the best time of year. I'm a Texas girl (so sorry!), but my sweet husband is from Arkansas and we lived there for a while (in Conway), so we love the Hogs as well. As long as they aren't playing each other, I can root for both of them!! Enjoy the season...

I'm from St. Louis and my sister went to U of A for undergratuate and her masters. I came to visit about 2x a year during college. Fayetteville is an awesome town. I was also just there for a baby shower. Brought back many fun memories.

I can not wait for the season to start. My husband and I have season tickets with my parents, and in spite of being pregnant with our first baby I plan on being at each and every home game, and perhaps an away game or two. College football season is the best!

When it came time for college, my dad said the only school he would pay for was MSU.. anything else and we were on our own! :) And I am huge football fan.. and there is nothing I love better than talking football with a guy and shocking him when I have knowledge of the game, my team and the SEC, because they usually assume girls can't talk football! And you have to call me a true fan.. because if I can stick by STATE after all the turmoil we've been through, and still show up for games where we are shut-out 45-0 and still scream my heart out.. then I must truly bleed Maroon and White!

WOOHOO Football season! It's fall, finally!
I think you know that when my husband was alive he was a College Football Coach. The week before the season starts is the best. There is so much excitement about the season finally getting underway.
But I have to disagree with you on one thing............
GO BLUE!!!!!! Yes, my favorite college football team in UofM. I hope that they have a better season that last year. It was miserable to say the least. Even though Shawn wasn't with me I watched every UofM football game on TV. I also listened to every YSU game on the radio. (That is where Shawn was coaching when he passed away)Both UofM and YSU will always hold a special place in my heart.
Even though I always cheer first for Michigan I also like The Gaters and The Sooners.
I'm glad to know that I'm not the only girl who yells loud at football games.

Kelly you are 100% correct that the SEC is by far the best conference! Funny how our conference gets little to no respect from the media (aka BCS) during the season...then one our teams wins the National Championship and we start hearing how the SEC is the strongest conference!

Living in the Northeast and not having access to the hogs even on TV is one of the hardest things EVER - especially during this time of year! *sigh* The people here in the North have NO CLUE how special the SEC REALLY is - much less how important football (especially the HOGS) really is in the South! LOL I'm right there with ya - oh and another thing, my husband refuses to sit next to me at any live game or even at home watching tv when the hogs are on - because I too am a VERY LOUD SCREAMER when it comes to the Hogs! KU will always hold a special place in my heart as I was a student-athlete there...but more importantly God allowed both my brother and me to be together for two years at KU! You see my junior year, my brother was diagnosed with cancer and before I finished college, God called my brother home to Heaven. My brother and I were very close, but being together at college was really special and I can now see it was all part of God's master plan! I am forever grateful for my time at KU...and will always be a loyal fan!

I just have to say BOOMER SOONER! The rest of my family have season tickets but I'll be staying home with my sweet 8 month old foster daughter. Harper is just a couple of weeks younger than our foster baby so I love seeing all of her clothes and accessories. I even ordered one of the crocheted caps with a big flower from seeing it on Harper! I know the Kuykendall's, who have Gavin and came to see you in Tulsa when Harper was in St. Francis.

I have a little one too so we sold our entire season of tickets but you can bet where I'll be every Saturday afternoon.

Go Red Raiders!! Wreck 'Em! I love love love LOVE College Football season. The funny thing is that I NEVER liked football at all until I got to college. I mean I was on the drill team in high school and while I always cheered for the football team... I didn't actually love (or understand) the game. But oh my word... I do now. And boy am I loud when I watch the games. I will be watching them at home on t.v. this year because I lost my financial aid for Texas Tech (the banks pulled a TON of loan funding).
Oh and let me just say... I am a big loser in that I cried last year when we lost to OU. I was SOO upset. : (

I myself have a way more important reason to watch the games on TV this year but she just turned 1 so she might get to go to her first tailgating event but probably not a game this year, maybe next year.
There is nothing on earth like SEC football. It's almost a religious experience.
As a Georgia girl living in Florida, married to a UF fan, I have to say, "GO DAWGS!"
Oh, by the way, one of my proudest parenting moments happened last week when my 12 year old daughter, who's new middle school is called the Gators complete with orange and blue everything, looked through tons of backpack choices (giraffe, zebra, paisley, dots, stripes, etc.) and chose the UGA backpack. She said all the orange and blue is making her sick! That's my girl!!
My husband and I bleed burnt orange so I had to comment (even though I'm usually a lurker) when I saw the horn's down signs!!

I am from Baton Rouge and grew up as an LSU TIGER fan. But I went to college and graduated from OLE MISS!!
My daddy says that I broke his heart once when I chose to go to Ole Miss (in his day LSU and Ole Miss were huge rivals) and that I broke his heart a second time when I married a boy from Ole Miss. My husband is from Mississippi and we met in college.
Now we are living in Baton Rouge so we cheer for the Tigers but our hearts belong to the REBELS!!! They are our #1 team!! HOTTY TODDY!!
I dress our daughter in red and blue during football season but her mimi and papa have bought her tons of purple and gold. She wears both but I think she looks best in the RED and BLUE!!! :)

It's great to be a FLORIDA GATOR! I love me some Gators and some Tim Tebow! SEC is by far the strongest conference year after year. I'm also a fan of the U (Miami Hurricanes). I went to UF and worked for UM so that entitles me two teams! :)
