Please Pray

I get SO many prayer requests every day and I have been trying to put them all on the Prayer Blog. Please understand that I'm weeks behind and working through as fast as I can. It seems sometimes I answer 30 e-mails one night and then get 40 more so it's like a hill I can't seem to climb.

Also understand that every request you send me is EQUALLY important. I put them all on the prayer blog and pray for each one. I have been sent 3 just today/yesterday and another that is a little older that I'm going to put right here. These are not more important than any others but these 4 families have been hit doubly hard and they are on my heart to have you pray for them.

It also gives a little perspective that you may think you have something rough going on - but maybe it's not so bad after all.

  • Lindsey Huskey and her husband. Last year they lost a baby boy around 21-22 weeks. She is pregnant again with a little girl. They have been told the baby's brain is not developing and may live to term but won't live long after birth. I can't imagine how this couple must feel right now but they need your prayers.
  • Dianne Whiteman - lost her 5 year old daughter 4 months ago to a heart condition and her husband has an MRI on Thursday to rule out a brain tumor. Please pray there is NO cancer.
  • The Maxey family - they had a little girl 5 years ago who lived a little over a year and died from a brain tumor. They had another little girl in October and she now has a serious brain tumor also. They also have a little boy. I wept over their blog last night. Please pray for this young couple.
  • The Ramer family - due to a terrible accident - they had boy and girl twins who both drowned at the end of July. Can you imagine losing your 2 year old children - two at once? They are due with a baby girl in December. Please pray comfort over them.
Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.
Romans 5:3-5

Another prayer request: a friend I went to high school with just had her baby born 15 weeks early. He is given a 50% survival rate. She is my age and also has two other young boys at home. She is so strong. She doesn't know the Lord.

Wow! The tragedies these families are facing is so hard to fathom. Thanks for sharing these and reminding us to pray for all that have requested prayer. I know from my own experience that praying in masses really does work.

I am so glad that you are putting out all the prayer requests for the blog world to know about and pray for. The Maxeys are friends of mine and I will NEVER forget going to Maddy's funeral and just pray hard enough for Annette. Thank you so much. I pray for the others going through such trials.

Kelly I have another request if you don't mind. A family on another blog I read gave birth to GGB triplets 2 months ago. A few days ago they unexpectedly lost their precious beautiful baby girl, Annaleigh. Their blog address is http://threecheersforbabies.blogspot.com/

I don't even know where to start in my prayers for lifting these families as well as the others on the blog but God is the searcher of hearts and He knows what I pray for even when I do not. I'm overwhelmed with grief for these people I do not even know but also filled with thankfulness for someone like you spreading the word and power of prayer.

These stories are so sad. It must take so much strength and courage to carry all these burdens. I'm sure they all appreciate what you do for them, so much.

Thank you posting the prayer for the Maxey family. I have known them for 9 years and will never forget the death of Madeline 5 years ago and all of our hearts break as they once again go through this with Annette. This family will never fully comprehend how much they are loved and how many prayers are being lifted up to heaven for them. You getting out their name and story is just another way for many more prayers to be lifted and I really appreciate that.

Praying for everyone during their times of need and sorrow.

Kelly,

Thank you so much for linking to the Maxey family (and all the other people in need of prayers as well). Their story is so heartbreaking and they are so, so, so in need of love and prayers.

Hi Kelly, it's always nice to read your blog... i can not imagine how overwhealmed you feel with all the request you get day to day. maybe you already thought about this but i was wondering that maybe you need to gather a team of ladies that are close to you and you see on regular basis and trust deeply as prayer warriors to help you keep up with the prayer blog, etc... you know you can always add more than one "authors" to the blog, with the amazing large audinece you have, it has been great to see this prayer ministry you started for women grow but you can't do this alone... it will get bigger and bigger and make you feel like if it's getting out of control for you. Maybe you could get to talk to someone from the Living Proof Ministries to advice you on that and see how they could help you out! sorry to be so long! i just thought i would suggest this just in case you haven't thought about it. take care, nitzia

Praying tonight for these families and the pain and grief they are going through! I really cannot imagine how heart-breaking it would be to lose a child, let alone to lose 2 children. Thanks for your heart and ministry of prayer!

Also, I will be praying for Harper on the day of her surgery. I think I mentioned once that my Hannah had the same surgery that Harper will have, because she had an extra toe and had it removed at the same age as baby Harper. Both my husband Andy and I cried, but had complete peace, when they took her back and put her under, but God was very faithful!

Thanks for this today, Kelly. I read your blog daily, but rarely comment. However, I just wanted to say thank you for the verse at the end of your blog today, it was just what I needed to be reminded of this week. Feels like I am being hit from every direction these days and that was a perfect reminder.

I found your blog through another blog. As I sit and read these precious prayer requests, tears are streaming down my face. There are so many out there in so much need of prayer and of our Lord's healing touch. I am praying with you & for you, too.

As I read these requests I prayed specifically for each one. Oh, this post makes my heart so heavy!

Kelly, when you do something like this...provide a place for prayer requests, you're going to get overwhelmed. I started checking on one caringbrige page and now literally have hundreds that I check on and could have added hundreds more! There's just a never ending source of suffering in this life. The best you can do is lift these requests up to the Lord and then leave them there!
Continuing to lift up prayers!

His oath, His covenant, and blood
Support me in the whelming flood;
When every earthly prop gives way,
He then is all my Hope and Stay.
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand.

As one whom you have posted my prayer request, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing the prayer blog. These families now have so much more power behind them thru the Heavenly Father as a result of that blog. May you be blessed many times over for your heart towards others. We should never underestimate the power in prayer!

I've never posted before, but I just had to once I saw Romans 5:3-5 on here. That is one of my favorites and it means so much to me. Last year I found out I was pregnant and had a very difficult pregnancy only to miscarry. These verses kept me going. It especially helped when I got pregnant again and had another difficult time in the beginning. I'm happy to say that I have a 3 year old boy AND a 5 month old boy.

Thank you so much for adding the Ramers for all the prayer warriors. I don't know them personally but my husband is a flight medic and flew one of the twins to Birmingham and this tragedy has affected him more than most things he's seen. Please keep those prayers going up- I can not imagine how difficult this is for them. Thank you so much!

Kelly,
Thank you so much for posting the link to the Ramer family blog. We know several friends that know them, so we were asked to pray as soon as it happened.
I've been wondering about them, so I'm glad to have a way to keep up.
SO heartbreaking.... :(
