NEXT WEEK: FOYERS/ENTRANCE WAYS
Our yard is really nothing to write home about. We have a fairly good sized back yard but it's just grass - we haven't put any work into landscaping it. Our front is pretty normal landscaping but we did add two things I love. I have always loved big, huge magnolia trees. But you don't find a lot of those in subdivisions.
But I did get a dwarf magnolia tree to plant a few years ago and I love it. You can see in that first picture some of my blooms.
Last year we planted a crepe myrtle tree. I love crepe myrtles. We had a Japanese maple that I loved but it got killed by a late freeze and never recovered. Actually it was a snow in April.
And I think I shared how we recently converted our garage into a gym. Scott has gotten a lot of use out of it. Me - not so much. But maybe when it's not so hot. Or I get some time. Or energy. ha!
I know there are a lot of green thumbs out there...........so let's see those yards/garages!

How nice to have a gym! I have to admit, I don't use our gym (in our development) either...It's enough of a workout being a Mommy! Thanks for hosting once again! :)

I LOVE LOVE magnolias. We don't have many here because they can't keep with the weather.

Your gym must be amazing! What a great place to work out!
Love magnolias!! & crepe myrtles. Don't see many of those around here, ha.
I wish our garage looked like that. You think you can send Scott over to my house?
I really like all your plants. I need to do some major landscaping so I am stoked about seeing everyones yards!!
Gorgeous, dahlin! And not a weed to be seen in that pretty yard. Somebody has been working hard all those Friday nights! ;-)
Love the magnolia tree! Beautiful addition.
Know that I'm always here praying!
Psalms 32:6-7 For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him. Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.

The trees were a pretty addition to the front yard! Have a Happy 4th of July!!
Beautiful magnolia tree. I couldn't work out in our garage right now either...it's like over 100 degrees in there!!!!
I love your garage gym....Grant would love it!
I LOOOOOVE magnolias! Perfect! (I never knew there were dwarf ones...)
I love Fridays! :) I've enjoyed these tours!
love your magnolias! don't beat yourself up about not working out. It is hard to find the time and energy that is for sure. Don't even attempt to try to get in a routine until Harper is 1. That is when most babies start sleeping all night!
so impressed with yalls garage..very nice! thanks kelly for all you do...so glad you are enjoying staying at home...
love, Holly

I love the garage space as a workout room. Wish I could do that with mine. It would be nice to have that at home.

I want a Magnolia tree and more Crepe Myrtles. I love your yard. I love seeing how others landscape. We just pulled up 6 boxwoods and I am looking for ideas for those spaces.

I love your landscaping and your work out area in the garage! Very nice!
Kelly, the yard looks good! Next summer Harper will want to help you. Ha! Wish you could see Macon, Ga right now, full of big magnolias in bloom and crepe myrtle trees in every color. Love crepe myrtle and would like more in my yard. Maybe next year.....
Keeping you in my heart in Ga.

I have been following this blog for about a year or so now. I'm going to give it a go on the next 'Showing'.
Hi Kelly - This is my 1st time doing this and I hope I did it right. I lost it a few times but I'm not giving up. Nice to meet you!
Marsha
not sure if i've ever commented, but just have to express that i'm surprised that your japanese maple died! i live in the northeast and have one in my backyard ... i wonder if there are different varieties for different zones? anyway, i love crepe myrtle & sincerely wish i could grow it, but unfortunately, i'm too far north.
who knew you had a gardening blog going on!? :)
