"CHAWED"

Chawed is a word that Laurie and I have said since college. Laurie got it from Scott's grandmother (who was her great aunt). It's the perfect word that describes when you feel embarrassed/mortified.....well just "chawed". We laugh because Laurie has Emily using that word now. When we all went to South Arkansas, Emily was doing something and we asked her to do it again and she said "I don't want Scott to be chawed". I have never laughed so hard hearing her little voice saying that.

Anyway......chawed is how I feel about seeing myself on video or having someone refer to me as a popular blogger. SUPER CHAWED. But a lot of you asked......so here it is. You are all a part of this whole little blogging world. Thanks for all the love and support you have given my family in the past year!

Great interview! I have followed you blog for quite some time, but have never commented. Love the accent and your daughter is just adorable. I wish all the cute bow headbands were the rage when my daughter was little. I don't think I could get her to do something like that now at 10(ha ha). Sooo cute !

You did a wonderful job. You seemed so natural...not at all nervous. I have never met you, but feel as if I know you from your blog. It was great to hear your voice. I had to laugh because you didn't sound as "Southern" as I had expected you to. I live in Georgia (and have for the past several years). I thought you would have much more of an accent than you did. Again, great job! Congratulations!

It is funny sometimes when I am telling a story or refering to something I read on your blog I will say "my friend... and then I always say I mean my "pretend friend"...too funny!

You did a fantastic job on this clip from the news, and you look beautiful. I have enjoyed catching up on your summer time adventures and how quickly Harper is growing!! A doll.

My good friend just got a job at Children's Hospital in Arkansas -- as an audiologist -- I let her know that I think the people in Arkansas are incredible sweet and hospitable, she is very excited for moving there.

Have a wonderful day!

HI!! I'm a faithful reader, but don't comment nearly as much as I should. That was a GREAT interview!!! You did so well :) One of my blog friends just did a post about being "outted" to her friends about having a blog (she wanted to keep it private) and wanted to know how you're supposed to explain this little world of ours without feeling like a freak. Let's face it.. a lot of people don't really get it. I'm going to have to point her your way.. you hit it spot on!
You mentioned how it helped you so much because you didn't know anyone IRL who had to deal with infertility. It's been the same way for me but with military life. I don't know ANYONE IRL in the military, and now that my husband is (and therefore so am I) blogging has been the biggest blessing ever. I have a ton of other military wives/girlfriends right there who can relate, help, or sympathize with anything I may be going through. It's amazing really and I'm so thankful for it.
Congrats on getting yourself out there so much.. you have a BEAUTIFUL little girl!!

My grandmommie in Texas used the word chawed as well from time to time. Also, just being from down the road a bit in Russellville, you don't have an accent to me! We sound alike! When I read your posts, I "hear" a voice, with an accent, but the voice in my head was higher. Funny, I thought the same thing about MckMama, but she probably had a Southern accent in my head too!
Please forgive my rambling...I spent the last two nights sharing a bed with my 6 year old and 2 1/2 year old while we were out of town!!
