So Jennisa did an awesome job on my blog a few months ago and she also is the one who made the wonderful blog button for us while Harper was in the hospital. I loved the little cartoon picture of our family.
But I always have the itch to change.........so Kelly had talked to me before Harper was born about working on my blog sometime and I just took her up on it. Hope you like the change!

Pray Harper won't scream the whole time in church tomorrow. I'm soooooo nervous. I don't mind taking her out and keeping her in the nursing room but I would love to hear the service tomorrow!

I love the new banner!! Very nice. I was right where you were a couple weeks back. I took Emma to church for the first time. And she did scream...and they almost came to get me but then she fell asleep and slept for 40 minutes. Woo hoo. Just take all your baby gear and go for it she'll be fine:)

Love the update! Now that I'm a mom, I like to think of babies' noises during church as their joyful noise to the Lord! My Taylor loves to blow raspberries during prayer and the priest swears he can't hear them but I do know that most of the people around us have a hard time holding in their laughs just as we do. How could Harper not love church when she comes from a Mama that has such a love for the Lord and church??

I like it! Harper may surprise you. There will be all kinds of new sights and sounds. Well, maybe she won't like sights and sounds....She should be able to go into the nursery soon I would think. RSV is over in some parts of the country now.

Our church has a nursing room with large screen monitors so you can watch and hear the services...and nice cushy rockers!!!

I think your blog looks fantastic!
I hope Harper does really well tomorrow. Take a diaper bag full of distractions to keep her entertained. I've found the BEST distractions are things that they don't normally get to play with (like a spoon, make up brush, cosmetics mirror, etc).
And if your church is anything like mine, you've probably got lots of older women that would LOVE to rock Harper for you, so you can stay and worship.

I LOVE the new look. I just got a makeover on mine too, and it's so refreshing to have something new, isn't it?! Yours is adorable! I love the colors....they're similar to my new ones. :)
I will pray Harper doesn't cry. I'm in the same boat. I just started visiting churches and I'm planning to take my 2 year old for the first time tomorrow. She's in a phase where she won't let go of me, so I highly doubt she'll stay in the nursery and I don't want to miss the service either if she starts being loud or acting up. I'm so nervous too, especially since I don't really know anyone at this new church and it's really small, so any little noise will be heard! LOL

our church doesn't even allow babies or children under age 3 in the big service, so they all go to the nursery. i know there will be times when the baby comes that i'll want him in the service with me. :(

Are you watching the new drama Harper's Island? I DVR'd it but haven't had a chance to see it yet.
That post just reminded me of my first little girls first Sunday at church. I took her Easter Sunday for the first time and she was 6 weeks old. During the opening prayer she started grunting and had an explosive poop session and it shot all the way up to her neck. It was my first time with her out and about and hadn't learned the "take an extra outfit everywhere you go" trick. I had to go home and missed the whole service.

Hope today went well in church! We just stopped hanging out in the nursing room 2 months ago during service. Thankfully, they have a live feed of the service on a tv in there, so I didn't feel like I missed out!

Love the new blog look. I am writing this on Sunday afternoon, so I am hoping that your church experience went well. I spend a lot of time with my nephew in the side room at church because he can't make it through a whole service yet and he is over one year (sorry that wasn't very encouraging), but I have found it is not the worst thing in the world and it will pass!
