I can't believe how many places you are all from. I'm especially blown away by all the people in other countries..........reading a little girl from Arkansas' blog. ha! That was so fun to read about where you live! You really did make me want to come visit you! Don't start listing off the best food where you live or I'll be gassing up the car!
So - I thought I'd share a few things I've done this week besides change diapers and singing nursery rhymes! After all - I'm not just a mom - I'm a Domestic Engineer!
We have this big wall in our dining room and so a few years ago I framed some botanical prints and hung them in a grid. I loved how it turned out - I was inspired by Ballard Designs.
I got these prints on e-bay for $15 (search for set of botanical prints), the mats came from Hobby Lobby half price (approx $12), frames were at Wal-Mart around $3 each. So I spent around $50-$60. Not bad.
On to meal time........we eat a lot of chicken. I am constantly looking for new ways to fix chicken. One of my favorite things to do is to go to www.allrecipes.com and go to the Ingredients tab and put in what I have on hand and search those recipes. Like last night - I knew I had some artichokes and some Parmesan cheese. I put those items in and I came up with a recipe and it was really good. So I put it on my recipe blog - if you like artichokes (and I really do) - you should try it!
Today instead of a picture of Harper - I thought I would share a little video. (yes I have a southern accent but I'm also talking in my "baby talk" voice so I sound a little crazy! ha!)
Also - MckMama wrote a great post today about a subject I've been struggling with lately - I've had a lot of people ask me about this - about God's sovereignty and our prayers. I couldn't agree with her post more.

«Oldest ‹Older 1 – 200 of 264 Newer› Newest»Goodness, you're creative! And little miss Harper is the prettiest baby I've ever seen! God bless your family! I love your blog so much!
Love the wall! Love the title of Domestic Engineer! I must give myself that title as well :-) Can't wait to tell the hubby.
Haper is too cute for words!!! She is full of excitement but just can't seem to get the words out yet!!! Love the botanical idea too! I will have to look into that lol!! Praying mighty for baby Stellan!
I adored that video!!! What a cutie. Aren't baby babblings the cutest? I also love the botanical print grid. Really beautiful and quite economical too. My sister is being induced tomorrow with her first baby! Pray for her if you are able. Thank you!
Ruthie
I love the video of Harper! So cute. By the way, I am from West Columbia, SC and we have a great restaurant, California Dreaming. You should come visit and check it out. Harper could meet my Emma Kate who was born the day after Harper!
Great video! Too cute!
I LOVE Hobby Lobby! What a great store! :)
What a little beauty!
The dining room looks great. That's the one room in my house that pretty much always looks clean. Probably since it's never used!
We eat alot of chicken as well....have you tried the Chicken bruschetta? It's an awesome recipe.
Your prints turned out awesome. Have a wonderful day...:)
Thought I'd share a favorite chicken recipe of mine from Ellie Krieger. It meets all of my criteria for recipes: easy, quick, minimal ingredients that are commonly on hand, and generally healthy:
1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts (I buy boneless skinless breasts at Sam's. I cut 2 large breasts into halves so I have 4 pieces)
1 lemon
2 t olive oil
Freshly ground black pepper (my pepper grinder is broke so I just used plain old black pepper)
Coarse salt (I just used regular salt)
Heat oil. Pat chicken dry. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cook chicken in oil over medium heat until done. Juice lemon over chicken while in pan, heat 1 minute, and serve. (Don't forget to drizzle with pan juice.)
It's tangy and delicious! I served it with brown rice and steamed veggies. It would be good with an angel hair pasta, too.
What a cute video and a treat to hear you voice.
I too was touched by what MckMama wrote today. Often I get asked hw I can find comfrot in My Lord when he took my daughter Katie from us 3 years ago to Cancer. My answer is that when we realized that a miracle was not going to happen we prayed for comfort. For it to be fast. That we would never have to take her to the hospital again. Well let me tell you God really is a parent because I know when I can't give my kids what they want but the beg for something to help them cope I give it to them and that's what he did for me.
Thank you for sharing you life with us.
Look at you go! The pictures look great! I'm getting ready to paint my dining room today as soon as I put Moriah down for a nap!
Loved the video of Harper and getting to hear your sweet, southern voice, too!
Kelly,
Oh she is so darn cute, I just love the video!!!
I commented yesterday how Bentley also sleeps in her pack and play and I wanted to let you know what helps us. We place a folded towl under one side of the mat so it lifts one side up a little so she is not flat. I started doing this when Bentley got a runny nose because it helped her nose drain so she would get better & not worse.. well, it's just kind of stuck with us. Now I feel it helps her breathe better so we still do it.
I love the video, Harper is so sweet and I enjoyed hearing your accent. The dining room looks very nice. Do all your door frames have crown molding around them? Heidi/coral springs, florida
Love the prints!!
And the video is too cute. You don't sound like anything I would have thought you sounded like - however, I have no idea what I thought you would have sounded like! Ironic, huh? :)
I love your accent! I'm so use to British accents that your video caught me off guard! LOL. Harper is so cute!
I am usually just a lurker (and pray-er!), but I had to comment today on two things. First, Harper is just the most beautiful baby! Thank you for sharing her on your blog with us. The video was great.
I am a Georgia girl who is living up in Maine. And hearing you say "Yall" on the video just warmed my heart! Thanks for giving me a little southern comfort today,
Fran
You have the sweetest voice EVER!! And Harper is SOOO cute!
Way to go on the prints - they look fantastic!
OMG OMG that is THE cutest thankyou EVER! Harper you are a little doll!
Oh and Kelly..coming from a little Brit gal..i LOVE your accent! Very cool :D
Harper is such a cute baby...she just keeps getting cuter and cuter. Here is a super easy crock pot chicken recipe:
4 chix. breasts
1c. chix broth
1c. bbq sauce (I prefer Sweet Baby Ray's)
1T of brown sugar
1 med. sweet onion sliced
Throw it all in the crock pot on high for 4 hours (give or take a little) and you are good to go. You may want to stir it occassion. This chicken is great served as the main dish, but I also like to add it to salads or on wraps. Very yummy!!!
Your dining rooms looks great! I'd never be able to make a grid like that! I leave that kind of stuff up to my fiance lol!
Thanks for the adorable video of Harper! Totally made my day! She's too cute!
The video was precious!! I think she really did say "I love ya'll!" My heart is very heavy today and I have been following MckMama and just read her new post. We're so blessed to have healthy babies...I pray for a miracle for Baby S.
First of all - your wall is fabulous! I love the new prints - your right, it is bolder and brighter. It looks great!
Secondly, Harper is so cute! Thanks for posting a video on her little cooing! That was so fun to see.
Lastly, I have a very simple chicken recipe for you. Cut chicken into small pieces and grill in olive oil and your favorite seasonings. Steam carrots and broccoli and boil some fettucin. Mix all together with your favorite vinagrette salad dressing ( I use Kraft Caesar vinegrette). Top with olives, tomatoes and green onions (or none of those things if you don't like them). It's super yummy hot OR cold. Happy chicken making!
Oh what a great job on your wall! It's so striking. What a good way to fill the space. I too love allrecipes but ya know what? I didn't realize that you could plug in your ingredients and they would come back with a recipe for you. Thanks for that great tip! Hope you have a great afternoon. That Harper is a DOLL!!
I LOVE your new botanical prints. I was going to give you a money-saving tip. For mats, you can use colored posterboard for a mat. Just cut it to the size you need & center your picture on top. You can't tell the difference between a "real" mat & a posterboard mat. Plus, it saves you a considerable amount of money as you can usually get several "mats" out of one piece of posterboard. Just thought I'd pass it along...
Harper is such a sweet doll baby! So fun! Thanks for sharing!
Looks great!! I love Ballard Designs.
Sounds yummy!!
Harper is just too cute!!
I've gotta tell you...I cannot get enough of Harper's eyes!
Thank you for sharing that sweet video of Harper! She's adorable! :)
I wish I was a domestic engineer! Hopefully - I will get that promotion one day to that! I forgot to add my post yesterday. Anyway - I'm Amy - I'm from Toledo, Ohio - although, originally - I'm from a VERY small town in Northwest Ohio. I'm a farmers daughter. My original dwellings are about the size of a pin prick on the map and that's close up. My little tiny town of about pop. 160 - give or take who was born or who got called home is Miller City, Ohio. No one has any reason to go there except to go cow tipping or to watch grass grow. It may be totally flat land - but it's so peaceful and serene there - I'd give anything to be back there and tip cows and watch the grass grow! That's what I love the most about it! That and everyone there are the nicest people you'd want to meet. It doesn't matter if they know ya or not - you still either get the farmer wave, the tip of the John Deere hat, or the three finger farmer salute.
I absolutely love your blog - I think mainly because we're the same age. DH & I are thinking of starting our family now too! Of course - it helps that Harper is the cutest thing in Arkansas! ;)
Love the wall and LOVE the video!! so sweet & fun to hear your voices! She's a DOLL!
I love your accent! My nephew lives in Cabot and he has the most adorable accent too! what a cute video!
Kelly
What a beautiful baby girl. I have been following your blog since Harper was born and feel like I know your family so well. You are truly blessed, and she is going to prosper with you being home with her everyday. Good luck on being a Stay at home mom. I know it will be alot harder than any job out in the real world, but alot more rewarding.
You are so creative! I love the wall!!!!! I love following your blog and seeing beautiful little Harper's pics day after day! You are very inspirtational and have really helped with with my ttc journey...
thank you and God Bless,
Tiffany
I didn't get to comment yesterday, so I am Kara from NW Oklahoma, and I actually happen to know a friend of yours at FBC...Wes and Leah, all of our parents are family friends. I am a bit old than them, so we weren't close in school, but anyways!
Your wall looks amazing, I would have never thought of that!
Love the recipe...we do chicken a lot here!
The video is precious - we need more! You guys are so cute! I love little Miss Harper! She makes me actually want a little girl after having 3 boys here!
Continuing to pray for you!
Love seeing Harper in "Action"... her big eyes are just the most beautiful thing!
Good job on the artwork too - mine would have been all crooked & off kilter!
I have to tell you - my mom isnt a computer person but she was praying for Harper & would check in every now & then... she asked me yesterday what the updates were - I told her about your post about staying home - you would have thought my mom was your mom - she got all excited & was saying "Oh good for her - she's going to be so happy" - I told her - Mom, calm down!.... I thought you'd get a kick out of that!
The new prints are fabulous and definitely pop!
LOVE the video of sweet Harper! So glad you posted that so we could hear her sweet coo-ing and saying she loves us ;-) She is so precious and just such a blessing to us all!
Awwwwl, Hello Little Harper you look too cute:) The pictures turned out great! I love interior decorating. I love to see little things like this that you can do and it doesn't cost a lot of money but wow what a difference. We changed out all the door knobs in the house to an antique bronse crank style and that little difference dressed up a plain door and made it look more thought out, rather then the simple handles.
That prints look great! I love to copy Ballard ideas, I could never afford that look on what I make.
I picked up the southern accent when I lived in Fayetteville and everytime I visit, I come back with a little bit. Even worse when I am around my friend from Alabama.
Oh my gosh Kelly! That was the cutest video ever!
LOVE your wall. I've got a big wall like that in my dining area also and I have been trying to think of what to do with it. Thanks for the idea!!!
Harper is just PRECIOUS!!!! I love the video. She is a cutie and again I am sooooo glad you get to stay home with her!!!
I love love love your grid of pictures! They look so wonderful on that wall! I love a thrifty designer! Also I adore the video of Harper, you will definitely have to do more of those in the future.
Harper is too cute in the video and your pictures look so good.
I love that artwork on your wall! I will use that for inspiration one day when I have my own place. Please post more videos! She is the cutest thing ever!!!! I showed my BFF your blog and Harper and she was over the moon about how cute she is. She always asks me if there are any new Harper pics to look at!
Everytime I see her I just want to cry tears of joy! Thanks for posting the video (your voice is great, love your accent- I'm from Oklahoma so I can relate a little). I'll have to try out that recipe and your decorating is right up my alley.
Well, I can't get the video to load but I had a thought. I have an area in my dining room that has something similar to your grid of prints. I was thinking of swapping those prints out with candid shots of my girls. Just as time goes by, change them and they be the beautiful faces shining to my guests. What do you think? Harper would be easy on the eyes obviously!!! She is a doll and would be gorgeous to look at in all her custom clothes, hats and bows!
Oh you and Harper are just precious! I love your accent! You are a wonderful decorator - I think I will hire you to come and fix up my house which is sorely lacking! Well, I won't tell you about Scottish delicacies like Haggis (though I do actually love it!), but if you like fish and meat pies, we have some wonderful dishes from my native land!
I will have to check you the recipe site you posted - I used to be very interested in cooking, but after having kids and still working full time, I literally don't have the time anymore and facing a stove at 8:30pm at night is not a fun prospect. I have thought a lot about crockpot cooking, but again have not gotten my act together. Thankfully my husband is a great cook!
I am desperate for some good news with Stellan!
Oh my goodness! I am SUCH a grandmother!! I sat here wiggling my mouth and cooing right back to Harper and telling her how precious she is while my eyes misted over - not once, not twice but THREE times (so far!). Kelly, the video is priceless! Do you know what absolute joy there is seeing your wonderful pictures of this beautiful child and praising God for what a miracle she is. I woke up at 3:30 this morning with a prayer burden for Jonah(Williams) and Stellan and couldn't help but praise God once again for healing Harper! Be blessed, young mother and continue savoring the moments!
Hi Kelly! Long time follower, first time commenter!
First, Harper is beautiful and I love following her progress! And congrats on staying home! How awesome!
I believe you are from my hubs old stomping ground! He grew up in the Spr/Fay area. We are headed back there for a few weeks in June! Cannot wait!
Cute cute video!! I too loved that post by MckMama- I passed it on to my family =)!
I love the new prints! I could never hang all those pictures so straight!!
That video of Harper is precious. She wanted to talk so bad!! So sweet!
Just think, in a few short years, those frames could be filled with works by your artist-in-residence!
Little Harper has such big, expressive eyes. What a cutie!
I LOVE the new prints! The video is so precious and it was great to hear your voice! Not at all what I was expecting! Ha! (Not sure what I was expecting though)
I wish my co-workers were as cute! I love coming to your blog every day. I'm still finding people around my area who have been touched by little Harper. God bless your family!
My mom was a domestic engineer as well. She wrote it proudly on all of my school paperwork.
Fathers occupation: blah blah blah
Mothers occupation: Domestic Engineer
I always thought it was so clever and yet showed her confident personality with her choice to stay home.
P.S. Your baby is ridiculously precious! :)
I could just eat her up, she is just too precious!! So sweet, thank you for sharing the video with us.
I absolutely love the pictures on the wall. And she is ADORABLE!!!!
Okay, your voice doesn't sound anything like I thought it would! You are as precious as that baby girl! Thanks for sharing the video.
((HUGS))
What a great website "All Recipes" is! Love the video!
oh my gosh. i think i love yall even more now after that sweet video! that was prescious! i love that you have a southern accent! me, too!!! :) And my little girl (3 mos old) has the same "silky" (thats what we call it) or "lovie" as Harper!
Oh my GOODNESS isn't she cute!! I love taking videos of my kids, and have been posting them more and more. The grandparents eat it up!
Love the wall, i have all kinds of "walls" like that, but all pictures of the kids...just wait, one day that wall will all be Harper!
Michaels has a great set of pretty frames that they keep at a good sale price so they all match too (and bigger sizes)
Keep up the great work domestic engineer, it's what matters most!
;-)

Good gravy that is one cutie little sweetie!!! Kelly, as I have been praying for baby Stellan and the family my heart has gone back to praying for you, Scott and Baby Harper and the miracle that God did and my faith has been so strengthened by your story and also the fact that you are staying home with Harper. Wonderful.
Thank you for your sweet blog that uplifts and inspires.
Have a Blessed day,
Dawn
Oh, we love Miss Harper, too! :) So adorable! And the pictures look great! :)
My 4 y-o Keira just said, "I love that cute little baby! She's so cute!" I agree 100%!!
Oh my goodness Kelly! I dont know how much Ive commented, but, Harper is just truly precious!! I'm so happy that she is healthy and happy, you are truly an incredible Mom!
Love your dining room, did you know you can buy UV film for the windows? I can dig up the name of the company if you'd like, just drop me a line. Helps filter out the heat & harmful UV rays.
Take care!
Maire
Oh my gosh, she is so stinkin' precious!!! And, I love your Southern accent! Sometimes I wish mine were more pronounced... but if you ask my cousins in Utah, I'm a total hick! ;)
Aww! Harper is so cute!!!!! Love the pictures on the wall :)
Hayley (from the UK)
From one Southern girl to another, it's great to hear that accent! I'm in metro Atlanta, so quite a few people here have either "lost" or never had their accent. Even mine seems to go and come anymore. I love to hear it! And, how sweet to hear Harper too! :)
Your pictures look terrific too!
Love the video!! That is such a cute stage, when they coo back to you. I agree with your thoughts on MckMama's post. I struggle w/that also and "why" questions about Colin's heart and all he has been through. I know there is a reason for everything, it's all in God's plan, if He would just let us in on that, it might be a lot easier. :)
Millie and Colin-HLHS
First, domestic engineer...I love that!
What a wonderful accent, I'm a southern girl too and living in Hawaii I get some funny looks when people hear me say yal'l...hehe. I miss the southern twang sometimes, Im married to a yankee so he usually only says "yal'l" to make fun of me.
The video of Harper is just precious. She's so beautiful and blessed to have a wonderful family & blog family :)
I'm from Toledo, OH. During the spring & fall it's beautiful here! We have LOTS of fun stuff to do during the summer. The Toledo Zoo is amazing & one of the best kids zoos to visit.
Lots of festivals & county fairs during the summer - although, I'll be in my 3rd trimester by the summer, so I'm not really thinking there's going to be much walking in the heat! :)
For food - we're known for Tony Packo's hot dogs.
This is the home of Jamie Farr aka Klinger from Mash!
A great place to raise your children!
Oh and here are two chicken recipes we love in our house. I eat no red meat, so we do a LOT of chicken and ground turkey around here too.
***********
Chicken Taco Soup
3-4 chicken breasts
1 onion, chopped
1 large can tomato sauce
1 can or bottle of beer (could substitute chicken broth if desired)
1 package taco seasoning
2 cans Rotel (or 1 can Rotel and 1 can diced tomatoes), drained
1 can black beans, rinsed and drained
1 can chili beans, drained
1 can whole kernel corn
Add tomato sauce, onion, taco seasoning, Rotel, beans and corn to crock pot. Stir to mix well. Incorporate the beer into the mixture. Add chicken breasts to crock pot and push them down under the liquid mixture. Cook on low for 8 hours. (Or high for 4-6 hours) When cooking is complete, remove chicken from the crock pot and break it up into pieces, then return to the soup.
You can top this with cheese and/or sour cream. Cornbread muffins make a YUMMY side!
*********
Chicken & Broccoli Casserole
3-4 chicken breasts, cooked and cut up
Steamed broccoli pieces (I use the frozen broccoli that you can steam right in the microwave)
Shredded cheese (sharp cheddar or Mexican blend without the spices)
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of broccoli OR broccoli-cheese soup
1 (8oz) container sour cream
1 tube Ritz crackers, crushed
*For my soups, I use Healthy Request. I also use reduced fat cheese, lite sour cream and reduced fat Ritz.
Preheat oven to 350.
Spray a 9×13x2″ baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
Cut up the cooked chicken and put it into the baking dish.
Layer the cooked broccoli pieces on top of the chicken.
Sprinkle cheese over the top of the broccoli and chicken. (Use amount desired)
Mix soups and sour cream together, spread this mixture over the top of the casserole.
Sprinkle cracker crumbs over the top.
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
Harper is precious!!
I also LOVE your wall.. I've been looking for something to do in my dining room and this looks perfect!!! I'll let you know how mine looks when I'm done!
You sure brought tears to a "Nanny"
That was so sweet! I just can't believe how time flies and she is trying to talk already.
Your wall is very pretty!
I am in Arkansas also, read your blog daily, love it!
Kelly,
I loved the video of Harper that was precious! That was so neat to hear your voice and hear what you sound like. I liked your accent! I am from Texas so I'm sure I have that southern accent as well!
Christa
She is so cute, Kelly. And I love watching videos of people and hearing their voice after reading their blog for so long. When I read Beth Moore's blogs, I can almost hear her talking it if you know what I mean. So now that I know what you sound like, I can hear you talking your typing. Haha. I'm wierd...
Love the new prints! I like how bold and bright they are! I LOVED hearing your sweet voice! You sound so cute! And of course, Harper was just precious! I promise you she will be jabbering up a storm before long! It will be soooo fun!
I, too, loved Mckmama's post today. I read a book by Phillip Yancey once that talked about this same thing. It is called, "Prayer: Does It Make Any Difference?" It would be a great book for people to read who have questions about this subject.
Oh, Kelly! That video is total preciousness!!! I could EAT HER RIGHT UP!! She just looks like what a little baby girl ought to look like! Doncha just adore those sweet baby sounds? Oh my goodness, it so passes too quickly...please, please, please cherish it!!! (And take lots of videos...even of the mundane stuff, because it is so fun to go back and watch! Of course, I tend to want to start boohooing watching the old videos, even the few month old ones, because they change so quickly!) I love that picture grid...it def. looks Ballard-y! And, wow! What a difference that makes with the new prints! I like your chairs in that room, too. Pretty room!
Thanks for giving me my fix for the day. TOO cute.
You did a great job on the prints and they look great.
I did something very similar with about 10 mirrors in all shapes and sizes....
Part of my business is fluffing clients "nests"!
Happy Tuesday,
Teresa
I love what you did with your dining room wall! I have to say that Harper is much cuter though! I live in Atlanta and we have a BALLARD OUTLET! I actually was just there after church on Sunday! If you are ever in Atlanta, I will be happy to take you to the Ballard OUTLET!
Those prints are darling! Just like that sweet video!
She is so cute! That little video brought such a smile to my face today. We've been praying for Stellan too, Mckmama post, wow what an inspiration.
Kisses and hugs to Harper from Texas!
Kelly, did you take this video with your Canon Digital?
Precious darling girl...I love those baby noises.
Your prints on the wall look fab.!
What a sweet video and you are country girl, but so am I! Gotta love the south! It was totally weird hearing your voice when your just used to reading what you write. Thanks for sharing!
Oh my word!!!! She's such a cutie!!!!
What a sweet video of Harper! I love hearing your voice, you sound so sweet! Great job with the artwork!
Harper is so darn precious! And so is your cute southern accent! It's neat to hear someone's voice after you read their blog every day!
That has to be one of the cutest videos I've ever seen...between Harper's entirely too cute face and your adorable southern accent! :) Too cute!
So cute!!!!!!! I love her video. She is so beautiful!
Wonderful video of Harper, she is so cute!!
I wanted to post yesterday but got sidetracked. I am from Hershey, PA, town of the great american chocolate bar! Our town smells like chocolate, especially when it is getting ready to rain. You'll have to come visit us sometime.
Keep the great blog going!
Jen
That video is so precious, she is so cute. Your dining room is very pretty:)
Precious video!
Madison, WI
Love the pictures, very pretty. And the video is too cute. Harper is a doll and I loved hearing your voice. :)
OH MY GOSH!!! That video is precious - she really, really wanted to say "love you"!! How cute:) And your wall is great!
I LOVED the video, Harper is just precious and makes me want to drive to Arkansas and snuggle her up with smooches!
I didn't get it on the last post, but I am from Christiansburg, Virginia. It's in southwest VA, only about an hour from the North Carolina border. I am a southerner thru and thru and your accent sounded completely normal to me! I love our little neck of the woods because you can live in the country but be 5 minutes away from the mall, target and sonic! lol. We have all the seasons here too, which I enjoy.
Your house is beautiful! I love that wall, how creative and inexpensive that was to do. It is so funny hearing your voice now. When you see someone in only pictures, you imagine what they sound like...I just love that southern accent. Harper is so cute!
Hi Kelly,
I stumbled upon your blog shortly after Harper was born. Not sure how...but I think it's a "God thing." My little guy had to be in the NICU for 5 days after he was born due to a blood sugar issue, but thankfully he is perfectly healthy now just like your gorgeous Harper. I love to read your blog and want to say thanks for being so transparent and open with all of us! You are such an encouragement to me!! God bless you!!!
Your dining room is beautiful!
And, because I didn't answer yesterday, I'll tell you today that I'm reading you from Salt Lake City, Utah. Go Utes!
Oh I love your dining room!!!! And, those pictures look great! I love some Wal-Mart frames, too.
BTW Your voice is not what I was expecting. {not that I imagine your voice daily or anthing} Just when I saw the video, I thought "what does she sound like!?" and when you started talking I said to myself..."that's not what I was expecting." hehe. Yes, I speak to myself often. I am my own best friend. Just kidding. Anywho. LOVE The video.
The prints look great! I had a similar thing in my last house only I framed all different pictures of trees...It looked great but there was nowhere in my new house to put them up . That video is priceless! That is why I have 3 boys... on the quest for a sweet little bundle of pink that has thus far eluded me! Shes adorable.
Oh my gosh Kelly, Harper was even cuter on video! You could just see her excitement as she was kicking her little legs!!! I did a little video with my girls in it the other day on my blog to announce my hat giveaway winner. We had so much fun doing it even if our video was a bit low budget, LOL! I know this sounds crazy, but I was curious to know if you had an accent or not, so the video today answered my question!!!
I LOVE the wall! What a great idea. And kudos for all the frames being even! That video is so sweet. Is it just me or is the newborn look all gone?
I absolutely LOVE that video, she's so precious. And I have a southern accent too ;)
The prints you redid turned out great! I love to get ideas from Ballard too.
That is THE SWEETEST video ever!!! Ya'll are too cute:) Oh and P.S....I'm from good ole' GA!
Harper has changed soooo much in the past week! More adorable by the time.
That video was the most precious thing you've ever posted. I can't stop smiling.
P.S. I LOVE your accent.
So cute! Your accent isn't that bad. I have one too and when I talk baby-talk it gets twice as bad! Funny how that happens.
Being from the south myself, I totally understand every word you're saying!! Harper is adorable! Just wait to get those sweet belly laughs and giggles! We did pray for her and it's so good to see her sweet face on this video! I'm from Canyon, TX and check on your sweet blog everyday! I can't wait to have a baby girl of my own to deck out like you have Harper...(only, it'll be Texas Tech instead of the Razorbacks...haha!)
Fun post today!!! thanks for letting us peer into your life even a little more. Love the picture idea. I have a huge wall in our diningroom too, so I might try doing what you did.
And wow, Harper is getting so big. She is just so stinkin' adorable.

Oh shoot, I forgot to post something on my first post.
Check out recipezaar.com for a ton of recipes.
Fran
you are both so precious!!! love the video!
I love you too, Harper!
It's nice to put a voice to the face! Harper is such a cutie. I'm so glad she is thriving! God is SOOOOO good...isn't he?!!!
I'm from a dairy farm in Ontario Canada. My favorite thing about where I live is that we get to experience the seasons. Spring, Summer, Fall and yes even Winter too. Some times I'd rather not see too much winter but when spring comes with all the glorious newness and freshness ( except when us farmers start spreading manure**grin***) I appreciate it so much more :)
i cry everytime i come to your blog, that baby is just a blessing from God! i missed yesterday;s post but I'm from Ohio. a little town called ironton.
Harper is a cutie!! That was so much fun hearing your voice and I love your southern accent, I have one too! :))
Your pictures are beautiful! What a great idea. Okay, I am heading over to your recipe blog. I tried a new chicken recipe last night.
You take 6 boneless chicken breasts and wrap a piece of bacon around each piece. Secure the bacon with a toothpick. In a bowl mix 8 ounces (I used a little bit more) of sour cream , garlic salt(I used garlic powder) and salt and pepper to taste and a can of cream of chicken soup. Pour over chicken and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours. This was so good and it made our house smell so good. :) This is great served over rice.
Blessings,
Patty
I meant to say cook in a crock pot. :)
Kelly...you are SO adorable! I LOVED hearing your voice :) You sound just exactly as I expected...Southern and SWEET!!!
Aww Harper is getting so big and isnt it the sweetest thing when they start making the little noises!I think i should post a video of Adlie on mine soon!
Harper is Adorable!! Oh and I love your decorating!!! Kelly you are so creative!!
I think this is my first post, but I couldn't read today and not say something. Harper is gorgeous, those big expressive eyes are going to get lots of attention. We have been praying for her and will continue to do so.
If someone had told me 20 years ago at my HS Graduation that I would be a "Domestic Engineer" I would have laughed out loud. Now I wouldn't trade it for anything and I thank God everyday he has given me this gift.
I love your love of college sports, I am the same way. To the point I drive my husband a little nuts at times. LOL
Have a Blessed evening.
Cece
Awwwwwww!!! She is so cute!! Gosh I would have 3 more or more, if that were in God's plan, but it's not for now. Your blessed with her!!
I didn't get to post yesterday, but I'm just a hop and a skip away from you in Memphis. Our weather is pretty much the same as yours. We are just starting to get the yuck rain.
From one southern girl to another, loved the accent!! Haha. Harper was too cute in that video! She just glows when she hears your voice!!
Hi Kelly and Harper, my name is Liz, I stunbled across your blog through a link when Harper was first born and have been checking in ever since... You have so inspired me and felt I should introduce myself, and come out of lurkdom....!!
I am a Mum of 2 teenagers and work part time as a children's nurse in Manchester, England. My parents live in Leesburg Fl so on a trip over in February I was able to check on your blog in real time!! With the time difference I gernerally don't get to read your adventures until the following morning!!
I have said counless prayers for you as a family and wish you all the best from a rainy cold England! x
Hey! I found your blog several months ago and got addicted!!! Harper is so precious!! I love all of the clothes and stuff that is monogrammed! I'm expecting my 4th boy in eight weeks so life is a bit crazy here! I'll get my little "girl fix" on your blog!!!! Take care!

I love the term "domestic engineer"! LOVE IT!
What a difference! You are quite the bargain shopper too! I just love your dining room. SO big with high ceilings!
I love the title "Domestic Engineer"! You are so clever! :) And the video of Harper is soooooo adorable!!!! She is the cutest! You should post videos more often...I loved hearing her cooing. :)
The wall looks great....how did you get them hung so straight? I always want to do it perfect like that but it never seems to be. I must know how you did it! Love your blog, thanks for sharing with us. That video of Harper was adorable. I'm so glad she is healthy and happy!
Jennifer in Ohio
She is a doll! Too cute. I just love how much you love her :) and how honest you are in your blog. It's fun to read, and I pray over the prayer requests you post...and you and your sweet little baby. For some reason she reminds me a little of my youngest, who is 6 months old
I'm up here in brrrr Alaska- Anchorage. We had spring break a few weeks ago, and then got another foot of snow dumped on us. blech, I want spring. BUT we do have lots of yummy places to eat up here! I actually miss our food when we're gone :) AND we're only a 5 hour expensive direct flight away from Hawaii!!!
Aww, I love the video! I, too, have a Southern accent, but I think it's charming! It's funny to hear your voice after reading your words for so long...I always wonder what people sound like!
I love your new prints - what a great idea!
I love the room and the wood crown molding is an excellent addition and really brings out the pictures on your wall.
...and I must say that I think you should own the title of the first ever, self proclaimed "domestic engineer." It suites you.
Great pics and the baby is too cute.
TJ
How in the heck did you get those pictures so straight?!?! Now that is impressive!
If you get a chance my blog site is~ http://lynchfamily5.blogspot.com
not sure why but sometimes it's still set on privite.....who knows! ashley lynch
I'm so in love with her after watching that video!!!
I've been following your blog for a few months (after finding you through Bring The Rain) and I have to say this video is precious!! She looks like she has so much she wants to say, she could start shouting out sentences any second! So glad to see her happy and healthy!
You don't have an accent to me, but that's because I live in Alabama! Mine gets more southern every day. LOL
I'm Kathy and I have a giant, man-sized 12 year old son and 10 year old boy/girl twins. I worked up until my oldest was born and then just couldn't bring myself to go back. We now homeschool.
We live in Birmingham. It's awesome here! I didn't grow up in the south but I obviously should have. I love the hot weather.
I love reading about your precious baby.
Kelly, i LOVE your artistic designing you've done! I'm getting married in June & can't wait to decorate our apt. Granted it will be a small apt, but hey, I'm thankful for it! =) I so wish we had a hobby lobby in WA! My friend from MI used a lot of there stuff for her wedding... i'm a little jealous!
Anyways! I can't wait to see harper "in real life" when I go home & watch the video! the girls here @ work wish we could all oohhh & awww at her... but pictures will suffice for now! =)
i want to go home & decorate!!! haha. have a great tuesday!
oh! and if you ever do come to Seattle, let me know & i'll tell you where you should go to eat! =)
~Krista from WA state!

That video is absolutely adorable! Thanks!
She's a beauty! And I love your SOUTHERN ACCENT....I have one too!
Love the video of Harper... how precious is that! I read your blog everyday since I found it in November and have prayed so much for little Harper! Oh, can't tell you how sweet that is to see her little smile like that! Happy Spring from us in Washington State!
Your project turned out beautiful and little Miss Harper...absolutely adorable:) Thanks so much for sharing. Brightened a rainy northeast Texas day.
Blessings always,
Kaye
Matthew 21:22
Yep, I think I heard I love you! Too cute!
Those prints are beautiful! How thrifty and crafty... I need to try to come up with something like that.
Thanks for the recipe, too!
She is just precious!!!
I want more videos! So cute
Oh my! How cute is she?!?! Hearing her sweet babbling makes us love her even more. Love the pictures. The new new prints pop and look stunning.
Can she be any cuter??? And you can have a cuter southern accent? Gosh I just adore "southern" things and here I up way up north. I didn't post yesterday about where I live, but I'm in Washington State - technically about 1 hour north of Portland, OR. Gorgeous here even tho it rains quite a lot, hence the reason they call it the "Evergreen State". I love the wall - I think that is a smart and fabulous idea. We have some Thomas Kinkade pictures in our bedroom and I've always joked they are "numbered prints" because they are pages from an old calendar I framed in Walmart frames many years ago.
LOVE those prints!! You're so smart with doing it the cheaper way! They look amazing! Way to go :)
Harper is so cute!!
And MckMama did do an awesome job with her post. Praying!
Blessings!!
Well I think everyone would agree...we all love Miss Harper. Our day wouldn't be complete without checkin' out the latest and greatest from "Kelly's Korner" :) Sending you a great BIG hug from sunny Arizona.
Love the video. It was great to hear your voice, sounded just like I thought it would. The botanical wall looks great!
Aww love her...She's so precious! :)
I love the prints, they're beautiful! What a neat idea!
Oh, and have you ever tried the recipe for basil chicken pasta? It's wonderful, my hubby and I love it! I can't remember the site I got the recipe from, but if you'd like to email me, I'd be more than happy to share it with you. :) courtney b estep @ hotmail . com (no spaces, of course!) :)
Oh Kelly, you sound just as sweet as I imagined you would! Harper is a little princess. Am I allowed to say that she is very like her daddy?!
Thanks for sharing the video!
Grace
Cute video! I love southern accents they make everyone sound so sweet! I love the flower wall as well.
Ms. Kelly, I love coming and reading about Ms. Harper and your world. Ms. Harper is very lucky to have a mommy like you. Thank you for sharing.
Precious baby girl. We love yall too!
SO STINKIN' CUTE!!!
I didn't leave a comment yesterday, so I am today! I'm originally from Magnolia, AR but live in New York City now. I love that I can walk out of my front door and have everything at my finger tips. But I also sometimes hate being able to walk out of my front door and have everything at my finger tips! I'm from the country...sometimes I need space! I've been reading your blog for awhile now, but I knew when I saw that you praised God for Sonic I would be hooked forever! We don't have Sonic here...don't get me started. And Harper is ADORABLE!
I love the wall! You did such a good job, I'd be afraid of lining them up in such a perfect grid!
Love the southern accent!
Your little harper is too stinkin' cute.
And I love allrecipes.com too :)
Oh I love that little video. What a doll. My sister has a 4 month old son. I just can't get enough of him. Especially when my children are so much older. I always enjoy your blog and enjoy seeing Harper's outfits.
God's continued blessimgs to your family of three.
I love the new floral prints and especially loved the video of Harper. It was neat to hear your voice!
Hi Kelly, I think this is my first comment. I started reading right about when you came home with your little girl. She is the cutest little thing, and her cooing and talking is so adorable.
I didnt comment yesterday, but I am from Long Beach, Ca. I love it here because it is sunny and warm alot. I also love the different cultures that we have here, one minute you are practicing your spanish and the next you are eating the best fried rice you have ever had. I love your blog. Thank you.
I like Harper as movie star. ;) She is adorable and looks sooooooo healthy!!! PTL!
Shannon
Two words... PRECIOUS MIRACLE.
Emma loved Harper's video! We've watched it a few times now. Each time it's done, she wants to see it again! ;-)
Little Harper is just the most precious thing!
Oh my goodness that is the sweetest video ever!
your "baby voice" is so cute lol......I love it! Great prints in your dining room---
Your dining room wall looks GREAT!
Enjoyed the video of Harper!
Harper is adorable love the video.
BTW I am from Michigan, Lansing area. I love our four seasons
Harper is just the cutest thing. I love the prints on your wall. What a cute idea. I love the grid look. I just cannot get over how cute Harper is! I wanna hold her!
The wall is awesome. I thought about doing something like that going up our stairway but instead went with something rather funky for me.
Harper is so cute. She is indeed a miracle and I know one that will never be taken for granted.
You are a genius. We will soon be moving into our first house and I am by inexperience at a loss with decorating cheaply. This is the perfect idea and so elegant! It may be a few months, but I'll send a pic if I ever decide to try your technique! :)
I'm a follower, but not a frequent commenter. I had to comment today b/c that video is the CUTEST thing I have seen. I'm so glad you were blessed with her (and I love your obsession with bows and tutus!!). Thanks for your post!!
LOL that was so cute! I could just see her kicking her little feet!! SO on your dining room wall, since the pictures are fading, you could replace them with the Harper grid :). You could even take one HUGE picture and separate it into separate frames... have you seen that before? I love the way it looks!
Kelly,
that video was just precious!!! I think when babies make those sweet noises is the most fun. thanks for sharing that with us and you sound great too !
Hugs and love,
Linda G.
I just left a comment, but don't think it went through, so here it goes again :)
That video is tooo cute. I love videos on blogs :)
I clicked on the video to see if you had any others of Harper on YouTube. I didn't see any of Harper, but I did see one very funny Michael Jackson dance from you. Hilarious and so fun!!!
By the way, I am the girl that met my soon-to-be neighbor (Amanda Ledford) from your blog. Thanks so much for "introducing" us all the way from Arkansas. haha.
She is such a cutie pie baby!! And be proud of that Southern accent! My husband has one and I just love it!
Nice work on the frames! I did the same thing a while ago, but I copied Pottery Barn. The ebay idea was a really good one, though!
Awwwwww!! Thanks so much for the video of sweet Harper! I've been praying for you all since Harper was born, thanks to Boomama. My 8-year-old-daughter loved to see Harper, too. I struggled with infertility for five years, and then have lost 7 precious babies. It is good for my daughter to see how great Harper is doing after being sick.
You've got a sister in Christ so happy for you in Round Rock, Texas - north of Austin. And I'm THRILLED that you're staying home with Harper. It is truly a priviledge. Even though some days, especially the first couple of years, were hard, it is SUCH a BLESSING! I wouldn't trade one of these days with my daughter.
Hugs!! Julie
I think your accent is adorable!! The collage is amazing and I'm actually going to copy it!
Thanks for the video.. made me smile! :)
Harper is such a cutie! Honestly one of the absolute cutest babies I have ever seen (other then my own of course).
I just saw your video on YouTube of you dancing to MJ, you are so funny! I died laughing!
I have to say...Collin, our 1 year old, did a little happy dance when he saw Harper's video. He came crawling over to my lap while I was watching it!!
I love your Southern accent. Here in Kansas, I sound the same as the next person.
Sounds like you're having a great time at home with your little gal!
you are too cute!! as is miss harper! I am loving the prints...and always looks for new recipes :)
She is just the sweetest little love bug! Thanks for sharing the video :)
Also-your pictures look so good! Way to fill up a wall girlfriend!
If that's not just the cutest thing ever, I don't know what it..the video that is!! Love this, Kelly.
And, I love your botanicals too. I've ordered them off Ebay also & have them in several rooms. I adore your grid, nicely done.
That made my day! I wish I lived closer so I could give her hugs and kisses!
I'm sorry that I missed your last post, by the way. I'm from Pascagoula, Mississippi which is on the gulf of mexico. I live right across the Alabama state line in a town called Grand Bay, also on the coast. Lots of hurricanes and nine months of sweltering humidity, but it's still a cool place to call home. :)
She's so darn cute Kelly! I'm so happy all of prayers really helped you through! So, so happy for you and your family!
I LOVE your dining room!! That is such a neat idea!! Love the title of Domestic Engineer. I hope to become one in the near future as well!!
Kelly, I love that video!! Your accent is hilarious :) You are a southern girl through and through! I would know because I married a southern boy :) Harper is so adorable, I love her cooing! So happy for you guys and so glad you are able to stay home with her. You're off to a great start with your dining room project! Enjoy these sweet days my friend. Thanks for sharing!!
She is too cute and I love that print idea.
Amanda
Love the botanical prints... and on a BUDGET!! That's what I'm talkin' bout!
I thought I could CRY seeing Harper "live"!!! And then I thought I could cry wishing I could have another one... and then cry at the thought of someday having a grandbaby!!! Oh, she's just precious. You are SO blessed, Kelly.
Oh that just soooo dang sweet! I love your accent and I also love your wall in your dining room! That is awesome! Thanks for adding me on Facebook! Talk soon!
Janine
Love the pictures AND - since I didn't get a chance to comment on yesterday's entry - I live in KS, originally from TX, grew up in MO and went to school at Harding in AR! :-)
Your wall turned out beautiful! Harper is so adorable!!! She looks so happy and good natured. I love all the clothes you have for her. Blessings to your family.
What an absolutely adorable video and what a treat to finally put a voice with your pretty face!
Thanks for sharing!
Hey Kelly;
I loved your video. Little Harper just gets cuter everyday and she was really doing so talkin herself. It so nice to have a voice with your face. From one southern talkin girl to another.
Oh she'd love to talk! I'm sure it just melts your heart when she coos and smiles--what a gift she has been to y'all and so many people who have prayed for her and seen her grow :)
p.s. your accent isn't any worse than the women around here...of course I DO live in TX. It sounds totally normal to us!
OK- so I commented yesterday and now again today- turning into some form of blog stalker, but can't resist:) I LOVE Ballard's and loathe their prices. I have looked at their botanical prints for years and am so inspired by your wall. I've wanted one like it for years- litterally years. As soon as we move, I am totally copy catting you! But the big question is this- HOW IN THE WORLD DID YOU GET THEM STRAIGHT???? I tried to hang three little square mirrors in my babies nursery and they were impossible to get evenly spaced. Do you have a trick?
And... who knew about the ability to type in ingredients that you have on hand and voila it produces recipes????? I will bookmark the website and be using it daily. Thank you, thank you, thank you! From the bottom of my hubbies belly, thank you:)
