THANK YOU FOR PRAYING FOR THE PICC LINE.........................Our prayers were answered above and beyond once again. Harper doesn't even need a PICC line!!!!! We got here this morning and the doctor had to do one test on her and then he said we could take her completely off the respirator and start feeding today!!!!! PRAISE MY JESUS!!!! The nurses were cheering - I was crying - it was just a great day! We didn't expect this for several more days!

They gave her a little dog that looked like Dawson and she loved it!

They warned us she might not want to eat. Bigger babies who have been through what she has been through normally don't take to eating. NOT our girl - she's a Stamps. She gulped down her first bottle and was looking for more. So we gave her a 2nd one and that was gone in minutes!
We had a fan club! Our nurses are SO great! I'm going to miss them when we leave.

We call her our "chunky monkey" and we just ADORE her!
She had her 2nd feeding at 5 and we are waiting to feed her again at 8. Tomorrow we start nursing!!!!

We recieved so many cards and wonderful packages and gifts today. If you have sent us something to the hospital - we are getting it! I'm working on thank yous but I want you to know we are SO appreciative of every thought and gift! The love we have been shown by the body of Christ is overwhelming!!!
P.S. I just wanted to say that I have not forgotten the prayer blog. I have been very distracted the last two weeks but I will begin updating again soon. Most likely when I get home - which we are thinking could possibly be the FIRST HALF of next week (if things continue so well!) Oh we can't wait to take Harper home!!!!!!!

You don't know me but I have posted a couple of times since you had Harper. Just wanted to say that I don't think I have ever been so happy for someone I don't know as I am for you guys. You truly are a blessed family, and a wonderful example on how to have faith and keep standing on it in the time of trouble. You couldn't have asked for a more beautiful baby then Harper is. Thank you for not letting your faith be hindered. Still praying for you all!

Praise God!!! This is your best post ever!!! Wow, no PICC line AND she's eating well. That's just such a miracle! Your daughter is so beautiful and so alert! she doesn't look ANYTHING like a baby who wasn't supposed to make it through the night just a week earlier. Oh my, I can't get over how great she looks! !!! Good luck nursing. I hope the hospital has a great lactation consultant to work with you. So proud of you for pumping during this difficult time. That's a lot of hard work, but you did it Mommy and your baby is thriving because of it. well, and a whole lot prayer :)

Crying tears of joy while praising God! Isn't it wonderful to hold and feed your own little baby?! Brings back so many memories of when I held my first born as she was in the NICU right after she was born. Harper is so pretty and happy! She is ready for life!

My jaw dropped when I went to your blog and saw you holding Harper! I'm so excited for you and your husband! What a little trooper and what a beautiful miracle Harper is!!!
I had two students stop by after school today to see if there had been an update! They won't believe it when I show them the blog tomorrow. This has been such an awesome way to share Jesus with my students and they don't even realize I am doing it. I keep the blog up on my LCD projector so all my Child Development classes can read it each day.
I about passed out when I saw that picture of her with no vent and you holding her!! I can't believe she was able to feed today!! How wonderful. When John Michael saw her picture he started waving away at her! They're going to be fast friends! We said, "Wave to Harper!" and he does! What a wonderful blessing.
I have tears in my eyes. Your family is giving so much hope and faith to many people. She gets prettier every day. Praise the Lord she didn't need the PICC line. You look so natural just holding her and feeding her. I know you are so excited. Hope tomorrow goes well.

Kelly, what a sweet picture--a momma HOLDING her little princess--and Miss Harper is so very BEAUTIFUL! I just loved seeing those pics of her staring at her daddy and eating up a storm (and how exciting that everything is working just as it should and there is a need to change her diapers).

God is so good! I found out about little Harper through a friend of mine on Facebook. I've never met you all before, but I am so anxious each day to see how little Harper is doing. I have two children of my own; a 3.5 yr old son and 6 mth old daughter.

I told you I would be a blubbering mess on this day and I am! All I can say is "She's holding her, she's holding her... Thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus." I am overflowing with joy. These pictures are priceless and speak volumes! You can tell she is feeling so much better and that she ADORES her mommy and daddy! Her eyes simply sparkle. You and Scott look pleased as punch, as well you should. I just love her in that headband. Oh, I'm so excited!!! I checked last night and several times today, and I was SO hoping that the "delay" (I actually cannot believe you have ANY time to post :-) was because you two were holding that sweet baby! I got chills looking at those pics. We had a NICU scare with twins, and the pictures of precious Harper being held brought back memories!
