O HAPPY DAY!!!!!!!!

THANK YOU FOR PRAYING FOR THE PICC LINE.........................Our prayers were answered above and beyond once again. Harper doesn't even need a PICC line!!!!! We got here this morning and the doctor had to do one test on her and then he said we could take her completely off the respirator and start feeding today!!!!! PRAISE MY JESUS!!!! The nurses were cheering - I was crying - it was just a great day! We didn't expect this for several more days!

(Get ready for a long stream of pictures from our wonderful day!)

Could I smile ANY bigger?????
They gave her a little dog that looked like Dawson and she loved it!
Daddy's little girl
They warned us she might not want to eat. Bigger babies who have been through what she has been through normally don't take to eating. NOT our girl - she's a Stamps. She gulped down her first bottle and was looking for more. So we gave her a 2nd one and that was gone in minutes!
We had a fan club! Our nurses are SO great! I'm going to miss them when we leave.
Harper just STARED at her daddy.
Daddy fed bottle #2
Somebody loves her flower head band
She's already such a happy, content baby.
I've changed a few diapers today
We've got a good eater on our hands!

We call her our "chunky monkey" and we just ADORE her!
She had her 2nd feeding at 5 and we are waiting to feed her again at 8. Tomorrow we start nursing!!!!

I prayed for this child and God has given me what I asked of Him
I Samuel 1:27

We recieved so many cards and wonderful packages and gifts today. If you have sent us something to the hospital - we are getting it! I'm working on thank yous but I want you to know we are SO appreciative of every thought and gift! The love we have been shown by the body of Christ is overwhelming!!!

P.S. I just wanted to say that I have not forgotten the prayer blog. I have been very distracted the last two weeks but I will begin updating again soon. Most likely when I get home - which we are thinking could possibly be the FIRST HALF of next week (if things continue so well!) Oh we can't wait to take Harper home!!!!!!!

I have never posted before but I have followed your blog for months. I gave birth myself two months ago and I stumbled across your blog and found it interesting so I kept coming back and reading how you were doing and such.

I'm posting now because after looking at all of these pictures, especially the ones from today, I am in tears. I cannot tell you how happy I am that you and your husband finally got to hold and feed your little girl. Harper is just stunning! And you and your husband are just amazing...you guys had such a postive outlook and not many people can do that in situations like that. You can just see the love and happiness beaming from the two of you.

I am so happy that Harper is doing sooo unbelievably well and I hope that you will get to take your precious little angel home soon!

I'll keep her in my thoughts and prayers every day.

God Bless!!

When you've had to wait to hold your precious baby for days and days and days, it's a moment you'll never forget. Our Harrison made us wait too. He was born early with underdeveloped lungs which later tore, blah, blah, blah, but enough about my miracle today, we're celebrating yours in Northern Minnesota. Hugs from Harrison to Harper. That has a nice ring to it you know... :) I'm sure she'll turn out to be a sweet Godly girl if she's anything like her Mamma. Know anything about arranged marriages? (Tee Hee!)

I know we will never meet y'all but please know that you, your husband and Harper have touched our lives in such a sweet way.

And, please tell Harper we love her.

I gasped happily out loud as soon as the picture popped up on my reader that you were holding her! That has been my specific prayer from the beginning. What a wonderful day! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your journey- for letting us cry with you and rejoice with you- that is the body of Christ!
I am praying now that she will take right to nursing tomorrow and that you can instantly have that wonderful bond with her, as though you were never apart!

I have been following your story and it just brings me back 3 1/2 years when my daughter was born and placed in NICU....I am praying for you and her that she like my daughter takes to nursing like a champ....my daughter was intibated for 5 weeks and they told me she might not want to eat, that she might not take to nursing and she was the complete opposite...so I pray that all works to both of your benefit...what a blessing she is...i am working on something special for her but with shipping and all will there be a way that if it gets to the hospital after you are discharged that you would still get it???
God bless and enjoy your little blessing

"I've got the joy, joy, joy, joy, down in my heart!!!"

This is the day I've been praying for, Kelly!!! The day when you could scoop her up and snuggle her in your arms. The joy on your face radiates! And she's so precious. You can tell she's at home in her mommy and daddy's arms. All is right with the world, and we owe it all to Him! Praise the Lord!!!! You have no idea how excited I am. The smile on all of your faces, especially Harper's....I am just so very happy for you! Oh, and the nurses..they radiate love in their faces. I bet they are just such a blessing to the NICU.

Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
