I am 26 weeks today! I'm looking at the counter and I have less than 100 days left! WOW! One more week and I'll be in the my 3rd trimester. I am so ready to meet my daughter!
Today is the day I normally post my weekly growth picture but I guess it will have to wait until tomorrow. I have been gaining weight steadily lately so I decided to try and eat apples and carrots for snacks today instead of candy bars and chips. I was in the middle of those yummy carrots this afternoon when they decided to "re-visit me" (if you know what I mean). Pleasant. We can now cross carrots off my list of things I'll ever eat again and move back to the Little Debbies. ha! I didn't feel well after that so I came early and I'm parked on the couch. So we'll have our photo session tomorrow and I'll update then (sorry Jacquie)! ha!
This sweet blogger, Natasha, e-mailed me this weekend and she is designing some thank you notes for me. This was one of the designs I love. I don't know if I ever seen anything cuter!!! I love note cards so much. Snail Mail is still one the things that makes me the happiest in life!
I am so excited because Scott is going to paint the nursery this weekend and then we'll put the crib together! I'll feel like the nursery is on it's way after that! The bedding should be here in a few weeks and I have a few orders in for special paintings for the nursery! I hope it all turns out as cute as it looks in my head! :-) Maybe in the next week or so - I'll host a little party where you could share your nurseries (now or in the past) and I'll have a Mr. Linky where we could all peek at those cute nurseries. I mean is there a room in the house that could possibly be designed with more love???? What do you think - interested??? (I'm thinking this Friday - so get your nursery pictures and post ready!)

What a fun idea, Kelly! I posted some preliminary pictures today, but we're in the same place you're gonna be after this weekend: the room painted and furniture in, but no cute bedding or nick-nacks. So maybe by the time you host your party, we'll have some of the other fun things. Enjoy this weekend getting things ready! And here's to week #26!!
I'm sorry about the carrots! And I suppose I can wait til tomorrow for update Monday. Something to look forward to... oh, I can't wait!
The nurseries would be fun.
On the carrots, if the baby doesn't like it don't eat it. After you have the baby is when you can go back to eating healthy.
Great idea about sharing nursery pictures. I would love to take a peek at other nursery rooms.
Sorry to hear that you are not feeling well today. I hope you get to feeling better soon :)
Kelly- SO sorry about the carrots! I hope you get to feeling better soon!
I love the nursery idea! I think that is definitely the room most of us put our heart and soul into! Can't wait to see all the pics!
The nursery idea could be fun! I couldn't agree more about the room being created with such love. That was the one project that I always completed (putting off the rest of the house which never got finished).
The note card is way too cute! I love reading your blog. I always get the cutest ideas! Thanks!
I love the idea of looking at the nurseries - I could use ideas!
I love the thank you note design! That is just too cute! I, too, am a huge fan of pretty note cards and I LOVE snail mail!
Sorry you're not feeling well and I hope you'll feel much better soon!
What a great idea! I love looking at other peoples nursery ideas. My own seem so far away now that my "babies" are getting so big!
Definitely go back to the Little Debbies, when else in life will you have a better excuse! ha!
Can't wait for the update picture, I have so enjoyed your fruit pics. :)
Thanks for sharing!
I love the note card too. The picture of you on your moms blog is sooo cute. I love that little tummy you've got. By the way you are definately getting into the mommy mode. I had to laugh when you said Mr. Linky!!!
I'm sorry about the carrots! Hope your resting up made you feel better!
I can't wait to see the nursery..I bet it'll be just what you're dreaming of.
I also love the note cards! How sweet of someone to volunteer their craftiness in such a sweet way!
I LOVE the thank you cards...I can't wait to see her blog. I LOVE thank you cards and snail mail myself :)
The design for your thank you notes is PERFECT!!! I would love to see everyone's nurseries...count me in. (:
So sorry that carrots are now off limits! But, Little Debbie's are definitely mmmm mmmm good! I think the Mr. Linky is a great idea. I don't have a baby so I don't have nursery pics, but I would love to peek at everyone else's cute rooms. Never hurts to get ideas for the future, right? Hope you feel better tonight!
LOVE snail mail. Love it.
A nursery carnival would be fun... right now I have my girls together - one in a crib and one in a toddler bed. I actually posted those pics on Boomama's Before & After. I guess I could use the pics from my firstborn's first nursery, although if I did it today I would have picked something very, very different.
Those little cards are so cute! I was just thinking earlier today how much I love to get cards in the mail.
That would be such a fun idea with the nurseries! I have been meaning to take some good pictures of Amelia's to document it, esp. since it may change with the new one coming.
I like the nursery tour idea.
Sorry about the carrots, but hey now you have an excuse to eat the little debbies., they don't make you sick, carrots do.
Love that note card design! Sorry you got sick on carrots...maybe since sweets sound better you could try them in the form of carrot cake to get your beta carotene! :) Can't wait to see your picture tomorrow and guess what vegetable or fruit you will be holding up!!!!
I hate that you got sick today! It's a sign, forget the veggies!
I can't wait to see pics of Harper's room! I think it would be fun to do the nursery party. I would love to participate!
during both of my pregnancies, i NEVER wanted anything healthy! it was so strange how only junk food was paletable. luckily, both of my daughters are pefectly fit, because i certainly didn't start them off very well! :0)
I cannot get enough of snail mail. It is one of my love languages.
I DEFINITELY think you should do a nursery tour. I am almost finished ours and my daughter is 6 months old! :) Whoops.... we didn't find out what were were having so it made it hard!
You are just an amazing person! I love reading about your pregnancy because you haven't complained once about any of your symptoms. You are truly appreciative and know that you are blessed and that is so refreshing to see!
I am so sorry those mean baby carrots are now dead to you. I hope you are feeling much better though!!
Ok that thank you note design is precious!!! I know anything with Harper Brown Stamps on it is an instant winner, but that is some serious cuteness right there!
And congrats on 26 weeks little momma!
love the nursery idea! i can't wait to see everyone's! we find out what we're having next week and then i can't wait to start on the nursery! w/ our little boy (now almost 4) the nursery looked like an underwater aquarium! i don't have my pictures saved on the computer from back then though :(. love the note cards too! i loveeee snail mail! makes me happy! :) hope you feel better today!
Ooh, yes, lets! I love how our little nursery turned out last year for our little boy. I'd love to show it off!
Can't wait to see your precious nursery complete!! The last 6 or so weeks of my pregnancy, I stopped attempting to eat healthy snacks and ate a lot of Oreos, Milky Ways, and ice cream!! I'm glad I did because now...the junk food is OUT!!!
Kelly I just love checking your site and seeing that counter move. =) I'm so sorry about the carrots -I totally feel your pain. I'm glad Debbie was there to help you out, though! ;) Hang in there!
How exciting- I can't wait! Those little cards are too cute!
Those thank you cards are precious ;)!
What a GREAT idea!!!!
I am sure your nursery will be extra cute. I love the pink and brown and I am sure Harper will love it as well. Can't wait to see the finished room!
Hugs,
Melissa
