I thought I would share with you one recipe and one food idea from my shower tomorrow night.
One of my favorite little party foods is something my mom calls "Bunco Buns" or you could call them "Party Sandwiches" or just about anything you want to call them but they are so yummy!
You need:
1 pkg 24 party rolls (or I used 2 pkgs of 12 dinner rolls)
1/2 stick butter, melted
4 tablespoons poppy seeds
4 tablespoons mustard
4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Sliced ham
Swiss cheese

My mom used to make those sandwiches all the time when I was younger, and I LOVE them! The fruit looks yummy too!
Thanks for your prayers...they mean so much to me =)
Hope you have a great week!
I have a similar recipe to that and its good!!
the fruit looks so refreshing! I can't wait till our cantelope and watermelon is ready in our garden.
I LOVE those ham and swiss sandwiches--my friend Lianne made them for Pokeno one time, and I got the recipe from her. The only difference is that her recipe says to drizzle the mustard mixture over top of the sandwiches in a 9x13" pan and bake. They're probably not as messy the way you're doing them. So good though! And those fruit kabobs look delicious and summery! I always wish I could come to ever shower you throw at your house--you always do such neat/yummy things!
YUMMY!!! :)
Hope you feel better soon. :)
I just came by your blog from Some Like It Southern and those sandwiches sound good! I'll have to try them some time.
Ooh, I might have to throw a party just so I can make those sandwiches!!!
Those sandwiches ARE delicious!! I like to make them for parties, too! And the fruit kabobs look great!!

Food looks yummy!
Hope you are feeling well. You are always in my prayers.

I found you through Preppy Mamma. If your looking for a cute way to display the fruit kaboobs at your shower: fill a pretty bowl with sugar and stick one end of the fruit kaboobs into the sugar so they are standing straight up. It makes such a pretty presentation. A friend brought fruit kaboobs this way to a party at my house and they were a huge hit.
Yummy and easy! I am sure the shower will be wonderful!
OH yes, I love this dressing. My Momma makes it, too.
Thanks for the sandwich recipe. It's always nice to get a recipe from someone out of my "circle" I going to get the stuff to try them right now!! My only questions is..what is slicked ham??
Oops - that should be sliced ham.
I've made something similar before but thanks for the idea - I think this will make the perfect on the go fun dinner tonight!

I just love the fruit idea. So Cute and such a great idea for the 4th of July celebrations coming up.
Also, sorry it is late but congratulations on your little bundle of joy. What a wonderful testimony for God.
Just hopped over here from Meredith's site. Congratulations on the new blessing! I hope you are feeling well.

PS. Your babies ultrasound picture is so beautiful! PTL!
I'm glad to hear that! I bought sliced anyway because that's all they had.
They were good, but I did make one big booboo in my haste to try them. I missed the COVER part. So we got some rather crusty little treats. I did add 1/4 tsp of sugar, since I really don't like mustard. I think it helped to cut the sharpness a little.
SO glad I got to talk to you today! I am sad that I can't be there tonight. And even more sad when I found out you were making those sandwiches! My mom used to make those, too, and they are one of my favorites! You girls have fun! I can't wait to see pics...I know everything will be so perfect!
Those sandwiches look amazing and the kabobs are a great idea too! Ya'll will have so much fun at the shower tonight!
I love those sandwiches and make them all the time! We in Kentucky call them Derby Sandwiches! :)

I make these ham sandwiches, but my recipe differs a little. I am going to try your recipe out sometime.
The fruit looks delish!
I found your blog through a friend of mine and I've enjoyed reading it very much. Just had to comment on the ham sandwiches...they are one of my husbands favorites. I make them all the time for dinner for just us and they are so easy. The shower you threw looked beautiful, I'm sure your friend was thrilled.
those look great, I've already written down the receipe! thanks for sharing.
I have had those sandwiches once before and they are YUMMY! I'm glad you posted the recipe so now I can make them myself!
Just blog surfing and came across your blog. Those bunco buns look really yummy. SHower or not I think I may have to make some!
I made those rolls for the first time for our "merry shindig" last Christmas. SO good!
Hi. I had asked this question once before. I was talking to my twin today and she mentioned that wrought iron stand you have and I told her I had asked you where you got it and I didn't get a reply. I'm sure we don't really have a chance in finding one since we live in Illinois but I thought I would ask cause we just love it. You can email me at twin6045@yahoo.com. So happy for you and your hubby. I got married at 27 (that was considered old then lol) and we wanted to start having a family on our wedding night and 8 1/2 years later Logan came into our lives. I was almost 36 so I can really relate to what your going through. Well, worth the wait and the tear Kelly. After a while that part of your life is a distant memory. I thank GOD he gave me Logan and I would go through it all over again, and again :o)
