In the midst of the shower and wedding - Laurie had her baby!!!! She called at 10:30 last night and her water had broke and they were on their way to the hospital. After everyone left last night around 12:30 - I called and she was about to get her epidural. I was too tired to make it so I went to bed and got up and we left at 6:30 to go see them.
Sarah Kate was born at 3:53 this morning and weighed 8 lbs and 1 oz! She's a lot bigger than Emily was and she also has a lot of hair. She's just beautiful and perfect!
Laurie and baby are doing great!
Scott and I loved holding her and we look forward to watching her grow up!!! We love her and Emily so much! Congratulations Laurie and Steve - you are a family of FOUR!!!!!!!

Hello Kelly! I'm new to this blogging world, but I have been reading your blog for months now because I saw your link on a friend's blog. I find your positive energy very inspiring.
I know what your friend Laurie was going through because I was 9 DAYS late having my daughter....I feel her pain. But I'm so glad that her little girl is here safe and sound.
BTW, you and Scott look like pros holding that sweet baby..... ; ) Ya'll will make great parents someday!!
Congrats to Laurie and Steve...Miss Sarah Kate is a doll. As soon as I saw her face I thought she looked like Steve. I also think she looks like Emily!

I've been a silent reader for a sweet forever but for some reason today I decided to break my silence. It is so wonderful to hear that Laurie and her sweet baby are doing so well but I wanted you to know that I am praying for you today. Because I know that although this baby's birth is truly a blessing and you are absolutely thrilled for Laurie and Steve- I also know how painful it is to watch others (even those you love) celebrate the birth of a baby when you so desire one yourself. I just wanted you to know that you are in my prayers.
