Update:
Our concert went very well. I managed to make it through all of our songs. And I got to have a lot of bonding time with my friend Julie all weekend so it was good to catch up. (Yes we are cheesy and made someone take our picture in the choir loft.) (not once but twice because the first set of pictures wasn't very flattering to either of us) (ha!)
My entire weekend has been taken up by a choir workshop. Last night from 7 - 9:30 and all day today - I attended a choir workshop at my church. It was for our church and local choir members as well. Dr. Gary Bonner who is the Dean of Music at California Baptist University has led it. He is amazing.
I was kind of dreading it because I just hated to waste my whole weekend at the workshop - but it really has been great and I have learned a lot. Most of the people in our choir majored in music and are so good and I have NO music background so it is a struggle for me to sight read and find the right notes sometimes. But I feel like I've gotten a whole lot better. We have learned 15 new songs and in an hour - I'm going back to church and we are doing a concert.
I thought I'd share these little glass jars that I got recently to go on my kitchen counter. I really like them. I love the look of these apothecary glass jars.

I got 3 apothecary jars for Christmas! In fact I was looking today for fruit to go in them. I didn't find any that I liked that wasn't $3 a piece!
I'm glad you're having fun at your choir workshop.
Love the jars. Where did you find them and the fruit?
I love apothecary jars too! I got a beautiful one for Christmas!
Whew! you made me tired just thinking about all that singing.
Love the cool jars...very vibrant!
I admire you for singing at church! It is a huge commitment of your time, but I know you are being blessed and are blessing others by your dedication. Really, everytime you sing, you are singing straight to the Father, and there is nothing better than that! : )
I hate I missed it! I am glad it went great though! Yeah, when I sang with All Region choirs-oh my word we had to sing all day so many times....and in college too! It is worth it though...with a lot of lipsyncing during practice so you'll have a voice for performing! HA!
Doesn't your Mom love to put things in jars too? I'm glad you had "fun" at the choir workshop. Girl, I'd be taking photos with the choir loft members too!
What a fun and pretty blog. I linked to you through Lindsey's Douglas Drama. I love the red striped lamp.

OK, I have to find out where you got the jars and the fruit. I have been wanting to do this forever to my countertops. They look beautiful. Kirstin
That is a lot of singing! I'm sure the program was wonderful and touched all who heard it. You and Julie look great!
I have always loved apothecary jars!
