Edit: My Mom wrote a post about my birth here that I'm sure you would all be interested to see. ha ha ha! You can see how I looked like a little asian child when I was born. My dad was born in Japan (military family) so on my birth certificate they first put that my race was Japanese and then you can see where they scratched it out and put caucasian. ha! They probably thought that from the look of me.
Last night was the Biggest Loser season finale. I don't know if you watch this show but if you don't - you should put it on your list of MUST SEES. It is so inspirational to watch these people change their lives. I couldn't find before and after pictures but the two winners were twin brothers. One lost 176 pounds (over 50% of his original body weight) and the other lost 164. It was unbelievable. There is a new season starting January 1st - the perfect day for resolutions!
And speaking of biggest losers and eating.........I had lunch with Laurie and Emily and Elizabeth today for my birthday. My birthday is Saturday but that is a travelling day for the holidays (story of my life - I've always celebrated my birthday early). ha! But because my birthday is so close to Christmas - I end up having a week long celebration. Tomorrow my office is going to lunch for my birthday and then Friday night Scott is taking me to dinner and then Saturday I will celebrate at home with my family. Even though I really have tried to stop having birthdays. (About 5 years ago when I turned 29 - for the first time).
We ate at Taste of Thai which was so good! Thank you sweet friends for eating with me today!!!

Ha!! I had my Biggest Loser post all ready but couldn't find any before and after pictures either so I deleted. I thought, "Kelly will probably do one and find great pictures so I'll just let her!" Can't wait until Jan 1! A Taste of Thai...that sounds sooooo good!
Hapy Birthday! I have turned 29 a few times, myself:-)
Is that place still on the Fayetteville square??
Happy Birthday to YOU!!!
Just wanted to let you know that you've really been on my heart & mind the past couple of days. I've been praying for you. And Happy Birthday by the way!!
Happy Birthday! Have a great day!
Happy Birthday! 29 forever!
I started going backwards at about 27. In a few years I will be way too young for my husband. :)
Happy, happy birthday!
Happy Birthday Kelly!! Aren't birthdays that last for a week at a time the best?? Will you get to see J in Flippin over the holidays?
Happy early Birthday, Kelly!!! You are such a sweet, wonderful, special friend! Have a great day/weekend/week celebration. I hope to see you in Flippin (we plan to be at church there Sunday a.m.). Love you! jlg
Oh, and I forgot to comment on Biggest Loser...such a great show--I think it's my favorite thing to watch. We recorded it and just finished watching it a few minutes ago. I was so happy for all of them. I really expected Bill to win, but I was so amazed by everyone's accomplishments. Looking forward to the new season. I hope Bob is still training...it seemed like they only showed Jillian on the previews??? Bob's my favorite!
I hope you are spoiled all week long! Happy Birthday Kelly!
Happy Birthday! You deserve each and every celebration!
Happy Birthday Kelly! Have a wonderful weeklong celebration of your big day!! And, may you have many more 29th's!!
Love,
Fran
Happy Birthday! I love a long bday celebration.
**I was not in a club at OBU. I transferred there my soph year, and was already in a sorority. But I had several EEE friends and some Tri Chi's too. :) **
First thing first, Happy Birthday!! I hope you have lots of fun celebrating! You look so cute in that lunch picture.
Second of all, LOVE Biggest Loser! I think I cried several times during the finale. I was so proud of everyone. They looked so fabulous!! I can't wait for the new season - I will be watching! Did I mention that I LOVE BOB!!
Happy birthday ... early ... Kelly!
I came from your mom's blog, who came to visit me during the tour of homes.
I wanted to tell you that I have been married almost 27 years to my husband ... and we met on a blind date too. We met and married within 6 months, and were engaged 6 weeks after we met. My girlfriend asked me just a few months ago how in the world they ever let that happen.
So enjoy your birthday and Christmas with your family. Merry Christmas.
Kelly,
Ok, first things first. You have no idea who I am because I have never posted on your blog before. (The truth is, this is the first time I have ever BEEN to your blog.) Seriously -- you have to be the cutest thing in Arkansas! :)
I felt like we were kindred spirits the minute I visited your blog. Why? Because a) I love, love, love, love Biggest Loser b) My dad used to pastor a church in Oklahoma and my parents met at OBU! and c) You obviously shop at Ballard Designs, like I do! (I have some of the same stockings as you!)
Where do you go to church in Arkansas? We have some good friends on staff at FBC Springdale -- the Church at Pinnacle Hills.
Come by and see me! Would love to hear from you!
Lisa from NC:)
That's so neat you know Scottie and Allyce. We first met Scottie when I was in 6th grade at church camp when he was a counselor-all of the girls were crushing on he and his friend Tommy-ha! Then my dad hired him as youth pastor at our church when I was in high school. Now he is the youth pastor again at my dad's church in Farmington. (Jessica McCash goes there-that's how I know her)
What a small world! And both "Lee's" too! I knew we were kindred spirits. :)
Hope you had a wonderful birthday!!!!
i should have known you were a friend of Fran's---Fran is friends with everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i love fran so that means i love you too since she loves you!
